Powell's never really got up a head of steam for me, started slow but then was getting better (Crawley, MK away), then injured. Got back in for a bit and again looked ok at times but then another couple of niggles (Wigan, Bradford), then finally gets a prolonged run in the New Year but is moved back to DMF due to the injuries, and now another niggle that's keeping him out. He's not been poor himself as such, but on outlay / return then it currently goes down as a poor signing. DC’s not managed him well. He should be given the Number 10 role and a consistent run of starts. Our best performance of the season IMO came at MK Dons and it is no coincidence that Powell started in that role Our best run of performances of the season came when he wasn’t in the team. Constantly trying to blame DC for every underperforming player is tiresome. Particularly when I don’t see you giving him any credit for the best performing ones. Powell has started more often than he hasn’t when fit and his goals/assists record is nowhere near it should be even factoring in that he’s been asked to play deeper at times.

Wrexham are paying the little scouse weasel 9k a week and even he can miss a last minute sitter last weekend Louis Barry is our best paid player by the way, fortunately Villa pay most of it. Barry isn't our best-paid player then. Yes he is, he gets a bigger salary than any other player in the squad so he is our best paid player, he isnt the player we personally pay out the most on but he is the best paid player

The majority of which is not paid by the club, therefore he shouldn't be used as an argument against Powell being our highest-paid player.

Wasn’t the debate about the expectations of a player v his salary, on that basis I think it’s fair to to compare the two regardless of who’s paying it. Powell is the player paid the most by County, Barry is the highest paid player at the club.

Goals per minute played, or goals per pound spent?

For the sake of what we’re paying out the one who we are paying the most to, the one who is costing us more, is the one I have the highest expectations of. The element of Barry’s salary paid by Villa is for an expectation of either future performances for them, or value in a future sale. The element we are paying is for performances here and now. With Powell all of the money he is being paid by us is for his performances here and now, and for the duration of his contract. We are paying Powell more now, and over the course of 3 years.

Well I think the dress is white and gold. tbf anyone that sees anything different is blind. The hilarious thing about you saying that is that in real life the dress is blue and black. It’s only the lighting and background of the photo that means it can be seen as white and gold (it looks like a very light blue and gold to me in the viral picture). www.businessinsider.com/the-roman-originals-black-and-blue-dress-2015-2?r=US&IR=T

A point at Crawley may make all the difference come April but can’t help thinking we shot ourselves in the foot not gaining all 3 . Puts another slant on Sat’s game which would seem shit or bust at least for MK Dons . I just don’t know whether the current 11 is playing with enough confidence and we are mid table at best on the form guide
Keep reading we have easier games to follow . I don’t ever remember any easy games come the end of the season and I wouldn’t pin my hopes on a Barry, Powell , Collar , Wright returning and clicking straight into gear . Overall I think Powell and Touray have been very poor signings for what they have failed to produce on a football pitch

I am hoping we go up and next season Powell comes into his own for assists and goals. I don’t know what it is with Touray. Is it a confidence issue as I think he is better than what he has shown.
