Again its back to who should be first, the players or the fans. For me its up to the players to initially get the crowd going and not vice versa. Its hard to get aroused recently when you are spending time watching the clock go down and wishing your time over. If they gave the crowd something to shout about they will. If nothing is happening from them what o they expect the fans to do. I disagree. The entire time I’ve been a County fan the thing that has always drawn me is how good we can be as fans. It doesn’t matter what is happening on the pitch we will be singing for 90 minutes home or away. That has shifted in the last few years and not for the better. We need to get it back. I know yellow block will be singing from the off, I’m sure the young lads in UT3 will be as well.

Mis placing passes should not have any impact on the atmosphere.
We're 2nd in the league aswell ffs.
I look at some of our fans now and wonder how on earth they survived the numerous relegation battles, the soul sapping National League North campaigns. Maybe the answer is they weren't there to survive anything (not directing this at you Matt)
MK Dons are going to have shit loads of the ball on Saturday and we're going to have to press them at intelligent times and break on them (and we will get chances to do it, they can overplay their hand, they're a good team but as has been said- they're not Real Madrid, if we get up and close at the right moments to press we can rattle them)
And the fans can play a major part in that. 100% we can rattle them. But I'm losing faith in our fans doing it these days tbh.
If we win this, we'll go up.
personally I don't think it should either but I get that when we misplace multiple passes in a row the crowd in general moans or gets annoyed or even if we're just playing bad in general which we have been doing for most of the season. Although I don't want this, the atomshpere won't change until next season where the ut3 lot need to find a new place to be. Right now they are way too far away from the pitch. Would it matter if 3k of 5k people in the Cheadle end sung? No, but there probably about 1k people maybe 1.5k at most that sing so you need to be closer. I don't know any other club where the singing section is the further place away from the pitch Lt3 right in the middle of the Cheadle end is probably the best place but that's not going to happen so I don't know how to change. People in Hatters 83 have also said that there's about 5 people that run hatters 83 but they need it to be full of about 20 people but the kids in ut3 are too young for them to really take under their wing as they are 10+ years older than most. I don’t think I’ve seen us misplace multiple passes in a row all season. I’ve plenty of matches seen the opposition give the ball away a heck of a lot more than us though. People only remember the ones we give away.

Also it’s not the location in the Cheadle End that’s the problem. It’s everyone around not joining in with them. Some of which is because we have more day trippers, and some of which could be down to song choice.

37 games in, 2nd in the league, well in the hunt for promotion, possibly even a title.
Players have given us plenty to shout about.
Football seems to be an entertainment to some people now. If MK Dons have 99% possession on Saturday and we send and aimless hoof up the pitch, score and win 1-0, I would be absolutely delighted.
I actually find it more important for fans to get behind players when we haven't got the ball. Anyone who has played the game knows it's more tiring chasing and gives you that extra bit if you have people willing you on to get up to a player 1/2 yard quicker etc.
If football is not an entertainment then what is it or what is it meant to be. Agree its not all about scoring goals as a really good save or a well timed tackle can equally get the crowd going. I for one have no interest in the technicalities of a game or formations like 4 or 3 at the back, numbers in midfield or how many we play up front. Just want to see an exciting County side winning a game, but expect thats a too simple wish for many of todays fans. Not having a go at anyone on here but listening to some at games who must be sitting their coaching badges i feel i might be in a minority.

Actually it could get worse and not better once EP gets developed unless we fill it up as there will be more space around us. Away you tend to get dragged into singing and shouting more by the others even if you do not at home or its a natural thing for you to do.

This is the thing. The atomshpere and crowd can be right up for it but we start and just end up hoofing it or miss placing simple passes then it just changes the mood around the ground. Mis placing passes should not have any impact on the atmosphere.

Why will they have more of the ball than us? They're being properly bigged up beyond their station for me. We beat them at theirs and we can beat them on Saturday. It's like an FA Cup against a higher league opposition pre-match. Hope the players, and especially DC who has form for it, are looking in and not out

Yes we haven't been great of late but over the course of the season we have been better, I hope we have a proper go at these and do them some damage ala Wrexham. Winning this would go a long way to sending us up automatically.

100% Let's sing and shout ourselves hoarse. We do try but very few around us can be arsed sadly. Dare I say it but it’s the part timers and band wagon merchants who have only started supporting us since we got back in the league are starting to moan and groan at the team performances.

I can't say I have been thrilled at some of the football myself but they don't even join in IO County when we have a corner.

Send them scuttling back to their concrete cows and roundabouts with nothing.
