Powell didn’t clap us. Did he make a big deal out of that? Young lad enjoying the occasion. Ffs JK. what did jk actually say when he got subbed then the fans were chanting 'Rico Rico' as he walked off the pitch.. JK mentioned that he didn't acknowledge the fans, and perhaps he should do this. Liam(co-commentary) said that if that's we've all got to complain about, then that's good. at the end of the game, then he did go upto the fans and take in some of the credit,so overall it worked out ok.

No idea I was at the game. Just responding to Waldorf’s post. He almost seemed a bit affronted by it, but to be fair then said he's sure someone will have a word. He's just a kid who played brilliantly. It doesn't matter. Perhaps I was too sensitive. I think JK is ace, so it's not personal.

From the stream & commentary, the County fans were singing his name as he was subbed, he seemed a little embarrassed at the accolade and didn't wave of acknowledge the fans. Apparently he is fairly shy and unassuming, particularly for a footballer. To be fair to JK, I think he was probably struggling to find anything interesting to say as it was such a pedestian game for County. Other than the goals the highlight on the stream was the hand with a cloth wiping the camera lens every few minutes early in the game!

Highlight of the commentary for me was the first goal. As Camps receives possession JK just says his name quietly, as clearly he's too far out for any goal threat.. and then just an exclamation of surprise which lets audio listeners such as me know something special has just been witnessed. Seeing the video clip later I could see why the comms team didn't see it coming, what a strike.

I agree with you, not sure why he even mentioned it.

JK and Liam are such a great team on the comms, the latter's elucidation of finer technical/tactical points really complements the former's easy facility for painting the picture of the unfolding action. And the rapport between them is lovely also. I can't imagine there's a more accomplished pair of exponents of their trade operating anywhere across the EFL.

JK can be a bit of an idiot at times, DC has said a couple of times that Rico is a shy lad who does his talking on the pitch but is polite & quiet off it. Think its the first time he's lived away from home & its maybe taking time for him to get used to that, but he seems level headed & isn't getting above himself. I'm assuming he knows Louie Barry, so hopefully he'll start to feel more settled now that he's back in the building

I guess the angle you were watching from made a difference. Watching the stream, from I gues the same point of view as JK, it was definitely a "whoooooooah!" moment - it looked a stunning strike and completely out of the blue (despite the domination of the game at that point). Goal of the season contender?

Interestingly it says he has the same agent company as stones from city, ake from city, valverde from real madrid and many more big names. Is that normal for a league 2 player to have an agent like that?
