It's always been a bit odd the play off winners getting a cup but not the 2nd and 3rd place teams Yeah, it makes sense 2nd and 3rd get something to put in the cabinet. There’s just no way you should hold it aloft on the pitch. But in World Series Soccer Championships, it’s gotta be a thing. Go Dragons!! Wooo Wooo!! I'm expecting them to raise aloft a trophy that's twice the size of the league trophy on Saturday. It'd be great if we walk out with the real thing.

I makes perfect sense to me. Whatever you call the second tier, it is the top tier of the Football League. It's about the only thing our useless, supine, pisspoor football authorities have done which indicates to the PL that we don't think we're all here for their benefit. 'You can have your Premier League, but we'll keep the pot, thank you.' I genuinely wish that super league would happen and the so-called big 6 could be got rid of altogether. They'd end up bored whilst their owners hoover up the cash and the genuine fans would be yearning for the old system. I think we over estimate how important they are. A top league division with genuine competition and real hope for promoted teams would be fantastic.

Totally agree and over the years its getting even more closer to the scottish premier league where its getting easier to forecast who the top 6 will be like their top 2. So many are just fulfilling fixtures away from the relegation favourites.

Wonder if the team will take the Champions trophy with them on Saturday? Loud and proud in the middle of the dressing room

Doesn’t mean they can’t be expelled True, but given the money they'd be bringing back to the domestic leagues with them from their midweek Super League adventures, I'd be surprised to see it. If it ever came about & they still competed in the domestic league it would make a mockery of their claims of wanting to reduce games & protect players. The champions league isn't every week but a Euro super league would be every other week midweek from the start of the season I'd imagine, & then they'd have to fit midweek domestic games in as well. IMO It's unworkable for English clubs without not competing domestically & it'll never happen because domestic fans have no appetite for it. The only people it would serve would be the global armchair fans of the 'brand' clubs.

For anyone who hasn’t got a ticket or can’t make the game this is what they’re advertising, however there are rumours that the game might be shown elsewhere ie S4C or BBC2 Wales.

Of course it’s not going to happen, but every time someone wishes they would just bugger off someone else pipes up with that not being the super league plan. No one has ever said it was the plan, just that they wish it would happen. I wish they’d be expelled, they won’t.

See I disagree; I think quite a lot of people do think they'd be leaving their domestic leagues. That's where the " well, it'll be more competitive without them" narrative comes from, when in reality it'll be very much the opposite.
