There's certainly a few on RP who definitely dislike us but say that our fanbase is obsessed with Wrexham. A few saying they won't enter the ground until just before kick off so they don't have to witness a guard of honour. Sad bunch. But then there's always a few at every club. There are plenty that are obsessed with them in our fanbase. There are plenty on both sides of it - and both sets will deny that they are obsessed and that it is all the opposition. I do reckon it all started with that FA Trophy game. There were one or two rumblings before then (particularly with that berk who came on here giving it the big one that they were in the driving seat or whatever) but it only really became a wider thing in the aftermath of that. Particularly with the guy who phoned our ticket office and posted on Twitter. That’s when I really noticed a wider shift in a larger proportion of our fans. I think without that Trophy game we don’t see the plane - though I’m sure there still would have been a lot of “we’re gonna win the league” either way.

Good Afternoon. Wrexham fan here. Congrats on winning the League.
Should be a good game tomorrow, we can both relax and just enjoy the game.
Hopefully the day goes without any incident. I think our players will have that 5-0 drubbing you gave us at the forefront of their minds and they'll be well up for the game. Personally I'm glad there's nothing riding on it.
I wouldn't take a few comments on our forum as the general opinion. Most of the fans I know do not consider you rivals really and I think there's a lot of mutual respect between the clubs, given the journey to hell and back we've both endured.
Having been through years of non league football makes this all the sweeter for me. Never thought we'd see league football again tbh.
For anyone going tomorrow I believe the best away pub is the plas coch on the retail park. I wouldn't go to the Maesgwyn as the beer is crap (plastic pint glasses) and it'll be rammed with home fans.

A few bits we've not heard before. Challinor fined after the playoff final, Challinor crying at the end of season, a location for the training ground is identified, the stadium expansion expected to cost £40m etc.

I don't mind them and I also quite admire their fans for sticking by them during 15 non league years, I'm not expecting a win tomorrow either as I just can't see the lads being able to switch back on, the effort will be there but not that busting a gut kind of effort. Yeah. I think there's a little bit more on the line for them - avenging a 5-0 thumping and guard of honour, last game of the season in front of their fans and "knocking the champions off their perch". For us there's a bit of needle and a desire to finish strongly, but will we have lost that bit of edge after the title celebrations - look at Chesterfield? We can certainly win it - though Tanto is a miss - but that makes them favourites for me - notwithstanding that they are also a very good side, in great form (though not quite as good as us) and with an excellent home record.

Yes, reading it again slowly, of course it was a typo.

Pretty sure they’re going to win, could already see in the Accrington game we were pretty half hearted about full effort defending (no issue with that, we’ve won the league). It’ll be more narrative on RedHotSexxyPassion that we’re bang average, lucky to win the league, if you take away all the games we won, we’d be mid table etc etc… blah blah blah is it time for summer holidays yet?

Yeah Powell's effort to win the ball back for their second was very poor and Bristow lost his man for the first (though he might have done that regardless) as well as a questionable foul on Barry. It was still only 3 SOTs and 0.25 xG though so it was hardly like we were on holiday. In fact, we played some great stuff at times with no fear. Yep, I'm expecting a lot of that if we lose. Mullin's injury (ignoring the fact he's played more minutes than any striker for us) always gets a mention and them changing their back 3. Ignoring Wrexham, the fact we've won the title with so many injuries to key players gives me a lot of hope for next season, providing we can keep them fit. Not all injuries but Collar and Camps have 18 league starts, Powell 20 (and was probably only fit about Christmas), Barry 16 and MSH 21 (though will they be with us next season), Sarcevic 27. The list goes on, only Horsfall, Ben and Paddy haven't had a significant injury and have been available for pretty much the whole season.

I like Wrexham. Wife's team, they've had a really shite time of it in the not distant past, I've been to plenty of Wxm games, home and away, with Mrs Mozzer (including a fun afternoon at Maine Road in the 3rd tier), her parents still live in the town and when it comes to it, they're not so dissimilar to us. However: a) I understand why lots of County don't like them; and b) those Wxm fans trying to pretend we don't matter to them are having a laugh. I'm not sure who they think they're kidding but it's no-one at this end of the M56. Slight whiff of 80s/90s Burnley about it all. Of course we're not their biggest rivals. Like the Inbreds with Blackburn, Wrexham will always dislike Chester and Shrewsbury more. Far more. But things happen sometimes in football that don't require a traditional rivalry to make games a bit spicier. That's where we're at with each other at the moment. There's no need for anyone on either side to be a prick about it all, but we can all enjoy a little bit of needle, especially tomorrow when there's nothing more than that riding on it. Anyone referring to B*rnley as anything other than the inbreds at all times, need to have a long look in the mirror and decide if they really do support us.

Listening to Challinor’s pre match, it sounds like a few will be missing through injury tomorrow as they don’t want to risk anything for pre season.
I think we’ll get a spanking. 4-1 Wrexham.

I'm still convinced Barry picked up a knock against Accrington despite what he said in the interview. He kept rubbing his leg after that slip in the corner. I haven't seen him on any of the training photos either.
