not really the right thread to have a moan, but the queues for food/drink at HT are still shocking and are costing the club a fair few quid,as many people simply say 'fcuk that' and turn around, and buy nothing. anyway, moan over.. lovely to see the club acknowledge the last bus parade was way too fast, and highlight the word slowly.. it'll be yet another great day for County fans to enjoy, after years of utter shite. The queues for food and drink are shocking. The service could hardly be any slower. For alcoholic drinks, there is a fix that would make the service much better. The pumps are set out something like - Heineken, Cruzcampo, Dark Fruits in a three. Then another set of pumps serving Guinness, Neck Oil and Fosters. This doesn't make sense, because most fans typically order 2, 3 or even 4 pints of the same drink. So the bar staff stand there pouring one pint of Cruzcampo, then another, then another of the same drink, one at a time, taking an absolute age, with massive queues waiting. There is no sense or logic to how the concourse bar at County is set out. It set out like a pub, which would have a steady flow of customers, but that isn't what happens. At half time and before the match, there are very high levels of demand, typically with fans ordering multiples of the same drink. If you had two of the same drink next to each other, the bar staff would have the opportunity to pour two pints at the same time and the service would be much quicker! That sounds far too sensible, can you please desist?

Have a look at typical amount of sales we do at half time of what and get plenty pre-poured ready to hand over Though tbh I never buy a pint on the concourse, more than capable of avoiding having a pint for couple hours to watch match and don't particularly enjoy walloping a pint down in 5-10 mins at half time but that's just me, I always find plenty of time to drink before and after match! I'm the same. Think I've had one pint on the concourse since it was done up, and the time before that was the Carlisle game in 2006! If I'm out having a drink I tend to only have 2/3 before the game otherwise I'm going to the toilet every 5 mins but then get stuck in after. The idea of being squeezed into that bar on the concourse, people nudging you so you spill your pint, plastic pint pots. Not for me. But there are plenty for who it does appeal so we should try and make it the best experience we can. I'm sure the Courtyard has alleviated some of the crush but queueing for food is still farcical. I don't bother any more, I might have had one pie last season. I'd definitely spend more if it wasn't such a frustrating experience and hard work.

I get that, but the slow service and poor set up is costing the Club a fortune in lost revenue and it's a bad experience for the fans. If you do want a drink, you need to leave 10 minutes before half time, otherwise you are queuing for 15 minutes and miss part of the second half.

Have we got something like these on the concourse or just standard taps?

Have we got something like these on the concourse or just standard taps? We definitely don't have those! Standard taps, which in many cases are creating a massive head, so the bar staff are having to spend even more time topping the drink up.

Anybody know of a club that gets the above thing right so we could copy just how its being done. It does not bother me in the least but it does for plenty of others. They do it much better at certain test cricket grounds, by dint of having pints already poured, especially when there's a rush (lunch and tea). The rush is actually far more predictable at County, so why they can't have pints pre-poured and lined up to be handed out, I don't know.

Not sure I can make this, but bought tickets just in case today. Stuck in the "away fans" section! Look forward to hurling abuse at the Champions...

I’m not bothering.
It’s not me seeing my arse or anything like that
But my missus (STH) is disabled.
I can’t work out what the plan is for her.
So I’ll watch it on Telly
