Living in Brum, our local ITV news is Central, and they have just had a feature on football kit prices. It gave a breakdown of costs of a shirt costing £80 £26.40 Retailer £23.47 Manufacturer £13.33 VAT £8.00 Cost to make £4.80 Football club £4.00 UK distribution + marketing I'd expected that a club would have only made a small fraction of the overall sale but you'd like to think it should have been higher. In our case we get the retail fee as well. So we might be making as much as £25 a shirt.

Thought our shirts maxed out at £47. Doubt we would be making more than £12.

Didn't we get £20k from the first champions shirt? Those figures quoted in Birmingham don't take into account the money which the manufacturer paid the football club through sponsorship. I imagine if someone offered us £200k we'd take a shirt deal.

The placement of the badge on this kit is so poor. How does stuff like this get past any level of quality control?

52 quid? Probably why there’s no proper adult sizes, likely would have breached the £60 mark !

52 quid? It is a full kit (shorts and socks as well) rather than just a shirt...
