About time we got something at Mansfield this time early in the season, last two visits p1ssed off walking away from there after throwing it away. Anyone else think Mansfield will sell out? Its been a funny one the last two seasons compared to Blackpool a few weeks earlier that will no doubt sell out

Only get 2500 tickets nowadays apparently. Is The Manchester still open? FWIW I'm staying over. Nothing like going on a night out in tracky bottoms and being best dressed. correct about the away end. Half of the side stand isn't available due to not being safe. They are apparently "fixing" it this season but it won't be done until much later, maybe next season. Have heard rumours that we aren’t rolling over purchases from last season and so Blackpool will just be a free for all for season ticket holders. No idea if that’s true but if so, that’s baffling. 6500 holders potentially after 2500 tickets. Sure it won’t be a problem in the end for Blackpool but what if it was Burton with 900 or something for first game?

Early thoughts: - Disappointed Birmingham away is on a weeknight.
- Am glad Boxing Day is an away game as I am likely to be down south seeing family for Christmas - disappointed it's a ground I wanted to go to.
- Glad of a home game New Years as I'll probably be in Stockport for that.
- Happy the London and nearby games appear to be Saturdays as it increases the chances of me being able to tie it in with a trip to family.
- Blackpool in August? Yeah alright then.
- Home game for the league fixture nearest my birthday is lovely.

No early midweek game is a travesty. We'll have the Carabao but first league Tuesday game isn't until October. Which is a bit silly when you consider the chances of postponements are lower early doors. Get more games out of the way early and reduce the risk of dodgy pitches leading to fixture pile ups later on. Not to mention sunset being later in August and September.

The stadium is still the same one, they've just refurbished it, they haven't moved Didn't know that, not that I take any notice of them but it's good to know I was there for the 4-0 win under McIlroy (the falsest of false dawns) and it was weird being stood on an open temporary terrace on the side, with nothing to the left and then two bowl style stands opposite and to the right. A real ground of two halves.

What is your best bet for your lot’s final position? I will be attending our game down that there Big Somke. I haven’t been since mid 80s when you could get a ticket for your open end and walk round into the seats. No doubt much has changed. Any recommendation for boozers near the ground? They were few and far between on the walk from the tube station back in the day. last visit was a a real smash and grab. We won 1-0 with our only shot on target all game and Micky Salmon saved a pen. Maybe you are old enough to remember.

Overjoyed Birmingham away is on a weeknight. Quick in & out. Less time to bump into their unsavoury fans & equally unpleasant West midlands police.

On the subject of unsavoury police at away games, for some reason the police for the Crewe away games always used to be right tw@ts. I mean well above and beyond any other police back in the 80s.

If there was ver a good reason to stay at home and watch the live stream birmingham midweek must be it. After northampton its the closest away ground for my lad but even before he fixtures were released he said he,d be swerving the game. Newer fans need to go however if only to show them what us oldies are on about visiting st.andrews.

When did we do the double on them last if ever, but we owe em one.

Maybe you are old enough to remember. Final position 6-8th or 15-18th depending on who comes in for us. All the best pubs were leyton Midland station to the ground so, the opposite end of the underground station/ground back then. 3 blackbirds Alma Antelope Oliver Twist All within a 5 minute walk now gone sadly The Leyton Technical Has re-opened as the Leyton Engineer, not been in it yet since reopening (if it has yet). The star is OK turn left out of Leyton underground station 2 minute walk. The Heathcote & Northcote aren't bad either, not really set up as football pubs so it's tough to say what pubs away fans will be allowed in or not. Coach & Horses definitely a Home pub, unless plod want to keep a rowdy away mob under control, but not seen that since early 2000s. Good luck to you guys, League 1 is great fun, but also frustrating. It's better than non league though. Enjoy it but not to much eh 😁

Best bet is the train to blackpool south or pleasure beach to miss the big percentage of it or park the car as close as possible to the ground and go straight in. Do not mind the place being a dump if they charged dump prices everywhere and not rip off ones for sub standard food and drink.

The first year in the league I fell off my bike and bust my wrist having already bought my ticket. Couldn't safely drive and there was a train strike. Tried every trick in the book to get there without trains sonly simply no chance. And timber doesn't do field mill so no lift to Yorkshire either!

I have had many Brazilian visitors over who also love the place - even in winter! I don’t know why it gets such a kicking but each to their own I suppose.
