I get your point but with our ridiculous injury records would you really want us to risk more in a cup game? It’s no more of a risk than Cambridge or Blackpool. It’s a major cup competition, we should treat it as such. I understand why we’re not, but I really don’t like it. Correct, they're professional footballers paid to play matches not be wrapped up in cotton wool...........

I'd be worried if I was Blackburn fan. 4-0 against a team of 17 year olds? What a disgrace they are. Also. Absolute bollocks it does the young players any harm. They're playing against Blackburn in the League Cup. You'd be f*cking buzzing. May learn more than a whole season vs other Academy lads and they get a chance to show themselves in front of DC. I'd rather it was in more favourable circumstances but a chance is better than nothing. That's the message the management team has to be instilling in them.

Mate. We've got 12 senior outfield players out injured. Think that's as may as we have available now. Make that 13. Think it's 12. 10 for Cambridge. Bate then Hughes.

Doing the Poznan and "let's pretend we scored a goal" are far far more embarrassing than the score.

Callum Campsbeen MOTM and he’s only been in five minutes. Agreed, he's made a big difference. Brought a bit of composure to the midfield.

We've got 12 senior outfield players injured, if we played a strong team tonight and we got a few injuries fans would be absolutely fuming, it's a lose-lose for DC. Agree - the worrying thing about this game is that we’re only one or two injuries away from having to play a team like this. We need to cross all our digits, touch every piece of wood and pray that the 13 fit players can stay fit until more players are back.

Callum Campsbeen MOTM and he’s only been in five minutes. Don’t know this lad but looking forward to seeing him play, unlike that other one, his near namesake Callum Hasbeen

Not sure you can judge him much off this - or make any lasting judgment even if he's having a shocker.. Thrown in at the deep end vs a Rovers' Championship XI in a scratch defence alongside a kid with a load of kids in front of him. Edit - he's also clearly been carrying an injury and tried to soldier on. I won’t be judging him on this but he was bad even before he got injured. Phil said he saw something in basically the first couple of minutes before they scored so that's impressive....

It’s a shame we’ve put out such an inexperienced team that have never played together but to be brutally honest I’m finding it hard to really care. Its all about Blackpool on Saturday.

HT. Positive: at this rate it won't be double figures and they may bring on some kids too...

Poor show this, not there but if I was I'd be asking for my money back..................Spend years trying to get back in the league to be able to play in tournaments like this and treat it with disdain. Resting players in the first week of the season, a season where we're not likely to go up or down !!! I can see the logic of why he's done it but I also agree that it's a bit of a pisstake for the fans, even at a tenner.

I do wonder if DC does genuinely think is a coincidence or bad luck we've had so many injuries. Call me cynical but I just can't get my head around it.

He literally told everyone on Saturday the team would be full of kids and he expected a difficult night. If people went tonight expecting anything other than a hiding/ pre season vibe then that’s on them not Challinor.
