We couldn’t even play low intensity pre-season football without a million injuries - imagine what it would be like playing three games in a week at full intensity and commitment Needs to be a full scale audit into our conditioning and physio teams because it’s not good enough. Maybe that’s already happened and if we were doing something wrong it will be months before the new regimen will rectify it. spot on. these injuries can't all be down to just bad luck surely? Saying we need to battle through until the others are back fit is of course an understandable remark, but do we really have confidence that the current ones won't get injured also as the league gathers pace. As you say, picking up so many in just pre season is pretty damning but i'm sure the club must be looking into it properly.

Terrible marking that. Free header, middle of the goal on the six yard box. The sort of ball you hope Addai would claim too. No slight on Ben, his strengths are elsewhere.

It still ain't great is it. Anyway time for 3 more at least. No it isn't - save Ben! - and I'm getting behind the lads from my sofa and haven't had the pain of the goals going in, but I don't like being suggested that kids are being humiliated when they aren't. 5-1. You seem to think I am criticising the players. I am absolutely not.

I think Challinor has got this one wrong I’m afraid. We’re light on numbers, I get that, but what’s the worst that can happen if we play a few of the better players we do have available? We might lose at Blackpool? So what? There’s a decent chance we’ll lose at Blackpool anyway. Likewise there’s a decent chance we’ll win at Blackpool anyway. I think we’ll give League One a really good crack this season. I actually think we’ll make the playoffs. But I don’t for a minute seriously think we are going to be promoted. Nor should we, these things take time. Should’ve taken this game more seriously for me. Absolutely no chance we'll make the play offs with our injury record. I'm more worried about the opposite end of the table at the minute. That’s a bit silly imo

were they built on this cup though or the Fa cup This next part isnt aimed at you just so i dont have to do another comment We didn't have half the squad out injured this early into the season. Last season a few people mentioned that Wootton didnt have a pre season so he wouldn't be as good (pre season is big) weve not had a good pre season and 5 players didn't play more than 15 miniutes of pre season For me, get players back fit and then mid table finish and maybe an fa cup run which isnt for another month and abit Not really the point whether it’s this particular cup or not. You don’t know when those moments will come. The club is *far* too meek and inclined to feel sorry for itself on injuries. That might be harsh, but sometimes harsh things need to be said. You don’t see other successful clubs or managers whingeing every five minutes about injuries. If you’re unhappy with your injury record, do something about it. Either sign sturdier players or change your training methods. Sending a bunch of kids out to get humiliated by Blackburn helps no-one. Least of all the kids who are supposed to be the future. It’s piss poor. Given the injuries we e had over that last 12-18 months I don’t think the club or manager have been whingeing every 5 minutes. Far more whinging going on on here about Challinor trying to protect players than he’s done about the actual injuries.

So no then? You've just decided they and the management team are getting nothing from this game and you think they're being humiliated. I don't. I think being 4-0 down inside half an hour is pretty humiliating for young players, yes. Doesn’t mean they’ve let themselves down, but it is nonetheless humiliating. I’ll bet the kids overwhelming feeling will be of pride having played in the game rather than humiliation about the result.

You could also make the case for getting more minutes in the players legs, anyway this one is written off and it'd be the same if we'd lost on penalties. If it was that simple everyone would cram in 10 matches at the beginning of preseason. How would they do that and how do you get the players up to speed without playing?

Cheers I'll do that. Not missing much anyway am I! Good luck with it. Worked fine on one of our boxes but completely knackered the other (main) one. Engineer coming tomorrow, should have been today but they forgot to complete the booking !! On the box that does work it’s actually quite decent. 40 minutes on the phone to Virgin. They haven't got a clue. They say equipment is all OK for the Service. They will send an engineer to look at it......
