What I don't get is why people are talking down the interest from the Chinese group, suggesting they are only coming for something to eat at the restaurant.
Ok then, riddle me this, firstly why would people fly from China to Stockport to watch 6th tier football and go to a restaurant in Cheadle Hulme? This isn't a trip to London to watch Arsenal and eat in a Michelin star place is it? So, it's fair to assume that they are interested in meeting Steve Bellis to discuss some sort of deal involving County.
Secondly, Steve Bellis, who doesn't work for the club, has openly talked about bringing investment to the club at least three times to my knowledge - at a fans forum before the season started, on County TV and on North West Tonight. It's not his job to find investment (it's Ryan's) and he knows the rubbish we've endured as a fanbase, so I'm happy to believe that his involvement lends some substance to things, as he wouldn't be around the club if he didn't have a vested interest in doing so.
Thirdly, there is the link to Stockport Tiger Star through the Chinese family. Granted it's an odd turn of events but that's how they know Bellis.
Also, Bellis' company own Manor Farm and are involved in creating opportunities for youngsters to play football around the world. I don't think it's too fanciful to suggest that maybe they'd like a partnership with a club at a decent (ish) level in much the same arrangement we have with Myerscough College (which Bellis was involved with starting by the way)
All I'm saying is it seems to have some substance and I'm surprised that people are dismissing it so quickly. If you disagree, please tell me why.
One final point - couldn't the two interested parties work together? For example, have the Chinese group and Bellis invest to work on a long term project of youth development and more savvy marketing of the club to attract sponsors and have John Fitzpatrick and co be the fans representatives on the board, overseeing more day to day matters, like not getting relegated or loaning out useful players without a recall clause, with some extra investment from them as well. That doesn't resolve the ground issue but maybe it alleviates the burden of running costs on the club and helps us be more competitive.

NS didn't see your post as I was typing out the ' year of the horse ' on my iPhone. Good points made , there are so many potential revenue streams with a link up with China that would benefit both County, Steve Bellis' company and the Chinese businessmen. I'm not ruling this out at all, can but hope there's enough in it and it will be the best option. Personally think that Lordy and Brown are turning things around and the link with Myerscough is excellent .

What confuses me is how people are happily to be (and rightly so) sceptical of the Chinese interest or any other consortium, but seem so ready to accept John Fitzpatrick and co's consortium. I appreciate the vast graft and dedication John has but I want to know more about these local businessmen, lets not forget that 2015 were local businessmen fronted by prominent (though perhaps not as universally liked as John) county fans. We can't afford to turn a blind-eye on the basis of an assumption that because Fitzpatrick is involved everything will be fine and dandy.

My concern is that Fitzy and SS seem to be full of chest-beating speeches and whipping everyone up, but they haven't offered anything beyond that yet. That's not to say they won't do, but they haven't yet. They haven't given me a reason to get behind them. A bit of fire and fight is great, but it's not enough.

If you read up on Steve Bellis' time at the club, what he achieved and what he's done since I think we'd be very lucky to have him around the club again, in whatever capacity he wishes/ is agreed, so I'm hopeful that the Chinese interest does progress.
More than anything, whoever invests, I'm just looking forward to some fresh impetus at the club and the regaining of some credibility on and off the pitch.

Not really sure what happened?? Royal Blue seems to have got himself banned. It only started with a question 'what do you actually want' I read a bit of it last night. I don't understand why he gets in such a state about it, its not like you were asking him a difficult question. He's quick to pick up on others comments and push for a question, but isn't happy when others do it to him. People that know my job know why I couldn't reply...bit hard when your on the road all day..why do some assume everyone is sat in a office during the working day?
Whilst trying to do my job many texts and calls informing me thread involving me yet I posted a quick reply via my mobile, yet still got numerous demands for a full answer to a posters question...by the time home, tea, kids to bed and able to post a full reply on a PC instead of faffing about on a mobile phone I was unable to post.
And I agree MB has become a embarrassing joke, I don't exclude myself from playing a part in that either and my full apologies for the role I played in the stupidity.

Now I am not questioning anyones honesty or integrity but at least ask the questions what others have to offer before slamming doors shut.
as others have said no way would Steve Bellis want to be associated or involved in time wasters and would do his homework on the people IMO.
A proven businessman with County and with his projects since he left his role with County wouldn't want to be linked with a bunch of unprofessionals,
IMHO

Which is fine if you hadn't posted at all, but you were regularly replying to some posts to question others and make your own points but generally ignored things asked of you and made yourself look a bit of an idiot (you weren't alone there though).

Isn't this their second visit to discuss this investment that we know of. They wouldn't come all this way twice unless the interest was very serious and negotiations were getting to an advanced stage IMO

When they were due to come over on the previous occasion they were delayed due to visa or transport issues, unless I'm mistaken.
