Go back to playing Saturday games on Friday evenings , that's if we can afford the floodlighting for 90 minutes.
Think in them days we played then so we'd get bigger crowds and some utd and city fans would come... But may be wrong

Thing is .... we hardly ever got better crowds, most away fans wouldn't dream of finishing work Friday tea time and then leg it up or down the M6 to go to footy, I am sure our crowds improved when we moved to Saturdays ... though I maybe proved wrong of course!

But may be wrong I think there is a place for Friday night footy at EP but i prefer it when it is a decent game. There may be the odd one in Conference National but preferably in the Football League. I am beginning to wonder if that will happen again though.

Hopefully not.
It's a tacit statement saying "we're not worth as much as united and city, you know "proper" football".
Our crowds prospered on Saturday afternoons. And going to regular Friday nights would massively hamper the work we do to get children and schools in.
I say play Saturday afternoons at 3pm and bugger if any other team is playing.
The days of people paying to watch one match then going to another the next day (or these days likely going and spending a load on beer in the pub) are gone as well. It's just too expensive for most.
That all said I'm not adverse to the odd Friday night game under the lights (like 1 or 2, absolute maximum 3, a season) and the odd one can be an enjoyable change.

I agree with what you say in that 2 or 3 games a season would be good IMO. Saturdays are preferable though.

I wouldn't really want more than a couple of Friday games a season if we went down this path. Saturdays are much better.
