I have supported County since 1957 but this is the first time I have posted. Just got home from Histon and felt we played reasonably well for two thirds of the game but again losing the ball in positions where it should have been cleared and generally poor defending and marking cost us a very winnable game. Histon were a very young side, their back four looked like a school first eleven but they played with spirit, something lacking in our performance, especially towards the end. Some poor refereeing decisions, being denied what appeared to be a clear penalty and a spot of luck for their keeper when Dennis' shot slithered under him and slipped past the post also contributed. When I arrived at the ground I made for the stand and sat in a section at that stage unpopulated. At kick off a number of besuited men and well dressed ladies took up their seats and I noticed a sign in front saying that this section was reserved for away directors. McNight sat behind me next to (I'm pretty sure) Lord Snape. I sat next to someone called Richard (?). Without naming names one person behind sounded as if he were the team manager with his comments during the game whilst the other was continually critical of the players, including the youngsters. Also, there were a number of less than favourable comments about Gannon and Bogie. Interesting.

I thought McKnight had given the game a swerve, I had a look for him but couldn't hear his daft Black Country accent.
I bet the meetings between him and Snape are farcical.

Dunno, just assumed he was Black Country because he's a Wolves fan.

Think he lives in Market Harborough but not sure that's where he's from. He's lived in other places, (e.g Newcastle) too.
