He had no chance with the second goal just a horribly sliced attempt at a clearance at the near post. I'd like to see him given a run in the side.

Why didn't Ormson play by the way? Anyone know?

How can someone that can't catch a ball catch a virus? Only joking, I like Ormson although I think he does need a break from the first team.

I agree it wasn't the best of penalties, but it was still a good save and I don't think he could be faulted on the day.I think the wind was the major cause of his wayward kicking as it was much better with the wind in the first half.He was getting quite good distance then and kept most in play

Regarding the penalty, it wasnt in the corner and wasnt at a low or high height, however it takes real ability (or luck) to get the ball over the bar from that height, the alternative is pushing it back out to the masses. So good save i'd say.
Kicking can be trained up quite quickly with additional sessions, in the meantime the team can help by restricing the number of back passes where possible and making them as comfortable as possible

Great penalty save and generally did well. But don;t really undersatnd the comments about commanding the box. He didn't leave his line on crosses all day!

Agreed, the penalty save was class, he did well but he doesn't look as agile as Ormson and seemed routed to his line for me, I think Ormson gets a lot of unwarranted stick personally

Great game for him, the penalty save was decent but wasn't in the corner and the the perfect height for a keeper. Other than that he had a decent game (can't comment on on their 2nd goal as I had no idea what actually happened). The kicking was truly terrible though, the weather can't be an an excuse for that and it will cost us over the season if he doesn't get better, but that's one of the easier things to improve on as a GK. Bloody hell, Chris! I'm glad you're not my boss! Fair play for saying he had a great game but I'd hate to think what else you'd have said if he'd had a stinker! By the way, that avatar is probably the worst on the board!

However I would keep him in goal even when Ormson gets better, (read somewhere he was ill?) as he's had a good game and if he gets dropped now what sort of message does that send? As for the avatar, I think it's here to stay. I know you secretly like it!
