Name the Beer and more.....
We are just 8 days away now from a really excellent event....a great evening for County supporters to enjoy!
I speak of course of the Presentation Evening at the Cryptic Ales Micro Brewery, at 3 Carrington Field Street,( off Higher Hillgate), Stockport, SK1 3JN next Thursday evening the 19th May.

Cryptic Ales, are launching a new beer( a mild ) at the upcoming Stockport Beer & Cider Festival, and have linked up with the Stockport County Supporters Cooperative in this respect to give County supporters a chance to sample the new beer ahead of launch.
The evening starts at 6pm, and you will be regally entertained and get ample chance to sample Cryptic's fine ales. Central to the event will be the climax of the ` Name the Beer' competition which we have run in conjunction with Cryptic. The winner will be announced during the evening .
The beer will have a County connection, and in keeping with the brewery name County fans have been asked to be suitably inventive in coming up with a name that links the beer to both Brewery and Club.
We had a great response , and here is a full list of the entries......
1 Addle Hence (anagram for Cheadle End)
2 The Ghost (Cryptic Clue - The Golden Hops of subtle taste leads this beer and Stockport County to Future success)
3 Borderline SCAN 811 (7,4) Edgeley Park board=edge line=ley(as ley line) SCAN 811 (Terry Parks number)
4 Half a Tan Down (6,8) Arthur Brownlow
5 Courage & Faith (enduring believers)
6 Willington Mill (somewhere that James may reside)
7 Ximenes (eleven lads starting each Saturday gave us the ultimate clue to success)
8 Blue Sky Thinking (The Boy Wonder)
9 Firm Fort Way (Hardcastle Road)
10 Rixow (nine in a row ix in the word Row)
11 For the King, all Rise (5,7,5) Danny Bergara Stand)
12 Forever Beautiful (link the Scarf song)
13 Fortress Edgeley
14 one down
Please attend on 19 May if you can as this should be a great night in support of the Guardian Account!

Thursday 2 June 2016 - the Stockport Beer & Cider Festival.
You will be aware that the above evening has been designated as `County Night' and the Supporters Cooperative have been busy selling tickets for the evening which will have loads of County orientated happenings within it at Edgeley Park.
This again is in support of the Guardian Account ,and providing that you buy your ticket for the Thursday evening session from the Supporters Cooperative, all proceeds will go into the Guardian Account- pay on the night the GA gets nowt!
Tickets are just £2 from any Coop Board Member, and there should be a few in attendance at the Cryptic event on the 19th!
Finally a brief update on the 2nd Stockport Hatters Half Marathon on Sunday 4 September 2016.
The race again starts outside Edgeley Park on Hardcastle Road ( at 9.30 am)and almost 200 have already signed up to run..... so.....
