Membership System Update.
We reported in Newsletter 9 February 2018, that we were experiencing issues regarding the PayPal account being used for part of our membership system.
As indicated at the time , we were dealing with the problem, and we can now confirm that the issue has been addressed ensuring that our system is back in full swing next week.
The issue has been that some PayPal subscriptions may have failed due to a technical problem with the account. This has mainly affected members that have been with us prior to 2016 and used to renew by PayPal yearly.
To address matters a new PayPal account has now been created and linked to the membership system, and we urge members to use the Web Collect link below and check their membership status out.
Members wishing to renew their subscriptions, or none members signing up, can log on at
webcollect.org.uk/mem/index.php?page=login&action=login.sign_in_or_sign_up
, check their account status and renew online with PayPal. There , of course, continues to be the option to pay by direct debit, or via cash or cheque. In this respect renewals and sign ups continue to be taken on home match days via the Cheadle End Cabin.
Our apologies to any member who has been affected by this problem!
Please note that this did not impact the PayPal account used for Guardian Account donations / payments as that is a different PayPal account.
Members Meeting.
A reminder that the latest Stockport County Supporters Cooperative Members Meeting will go ahead this Saturday 10 March, at 5pm after the latest Brackley Town game, in the Bungalow Club on Hardcastle Road.
Hatters Half Marathon 2018.
The 2018 Hatters Half Marathon is set to go on Sunday 2 September starting outside Edgeley Park.
Race Director John Giles is fine tuning his race plan currently, and has initially targeted a series of local races to leaflet about the Hatters Half. If you are able to assist by leafleting at any local races please contact johngiles20@hotmail.com.
Guardian Account.
The Guardian Account meanwhile continues to grow and is currently at £43241.27, and this is due to excellent support from our members and County fans generally. Well done all!
Make Us An Offer Final Update.
We would like to thank those County supporters who participated in the latest `Make Us An Offer’ effort in support of the Guardian Account, that featured an excellent match worn/ signed Kevin Francis shirt.
This effort raised a magnificent £350 for the Guardian Account, and our thanks and congratulations also go to Andy Main whose offer prevailed .
Cheadle End Cabin.
The Cabin continues to play a vital part in so far as members/ board contact is concerned.
In this respect we would like to thank members for their wonderful support that ,at the last home game, saw a good number of fresh County shirts donated, most of which are resold via the cabin for just £10. Our current price for County scarves is £5, and we are delighted to tell you that we have a good number now in stock thanks to your responses.
This all helps to boost the Guardian Account, and …..do not forget, you can find a Cooperative board member , every home match day twixt 1.30 and 2.40 in the Cheadle End Cabin….you can renew your membership …..( non members can join up for just £12), and of course either donate or purchase our stock in support of the Guardian Account.
Spinning Top.
As usual after the game tomorrow the Spinning Top will welcome you with a heady mix of fine ales and hospitality, topped up in magnificent style by another 10% donation from takings to the Guardian Account.
Last season the Guardian Account benefited to the tune of just short of £1000 via donations landlord Mike Swann made, and Mike’s latest cheque , presented at the recent County Quiz, brought this seasons total to a brilliant £700 so far!
Thanks Mike!
Oh…and later on ….probably from 9pm…..there will be the chance to catch the excellent `Mutha Luvin Chimps’ who headline at the Spinning Top.
Can you identify the County supporters who is a regular member of the band in the above video?
