First off a word to confirm that we anticipate being in a position to report on our meeting and ongoing contact with representatives of the Stockport County Club Board, on questions raised by members and others emanating directly from the Cooperative Board, within the next 7 days.
Our apologies for the delay, and thanks for your patience.
Now a review of the last few days and with it details of what, apart from the small matter of County’s play- off match with Chorley, is also happening on match day.
County Quiz.
After Saturday’s game with Darlington, the Supporters Cooperative headed off to the Spinning Top for the latest `County Quiz’
Hosted by County friendly ST Landlord Mike Swann, promoted by the Supporters Cooperative, organised by Matthew White, and MC’d by the one and only Nick Lee, the event was another cracker.
This event is designed to be fun and not a specifically `fund raising’ effort. That said, and great credit in this respect goes to Matty, Nick and Mike, the event raised over £150( £115 of which goes to the Guardian Account).
The other £35 was raised via the auction on the night of a Jamie Spencer shirt, and all that sum will be passed on to charity `Stroke Information’.
The Supporters Cooperative would like to thank all who attended and helped to make the evening a success.
The above figures do not include the proceeds from the 10% donation from Spinning Top takings generated on the night, and kindly donated to the Guardian Account by Mike. Yet more evidence that the Spinning Top/ Stockport County Supporters Cooperative link up continues to thrive!
The final positions after a lively contest were……..
Sediment 43 pts
Thick Arridge 36
You Looked Stunning , Last Night35
S**t From H**l 27
The Religion of Jimmy Ball 24
Don’t Call Me Chorley 23.5

Help the Hatters Programme and Memorabilia Fair.
The Supporters Cooperative Board took an early decision to support this effort from Help the Hatters.
As a first time promotional effort in a very tricky `market place’, the event , promoted and organised for HtH by Edd Powell, was a roaring success, and all connected with the running of same should be very proud of their efforts.
The Cooperative had a stall, and set the shirt rail up alongside it in a packed room that attracted 16 dealers and exhibitors, raising a neat £42.70, which will go to the Guardian Account.

Make Us An Offer- Final Update.
We would like to thank all who supported this effort, which will again benefit the Guardian Account.
The shirts raised….
Jamie Ward ( donated by Derek Bailey) reached £75
Ash Williams ( donated by Carol & Roger Taylor) raised £30
Guardian Account Hero- Is It You?
Last year Supporters Cooperative member Des Greene, raised a tidy sum for the Guardian Account when he stepped up and ran the 2017 Hatters Half Marathon as a `Guardian Account Hero’
We are looking for Des Mark 2…… someone to step up and run this years race ( 2 September 2018) as a GA Hero!
Before you decide whether you will become a `hero’, you can find out more about the race here , hattershalf.co.uk and check out David Wright’s excellent video of the 2017 race.
Then …..if you step up and decide you will run the race as a Guardian Account Hero please let John Giles know at johngiles20@hotmail.com and John will fix you up with a free race entry.
The Cooperative will open a `Just Giving’ account in your name and publicise that fund raising effort, and your personal running progress , along the way to hopefully emulating Des’s brilliant success last season.
You do not need to be a contender for the race prizes………whatever your running credentials are …or aren’t…we would love you to join us on this one.
