The news is all good this week……. starting with the news that the Guardian Account has now hit the thus far unprecedented heights of £60328, as a contribution of over £4000 from the showpiece Hatters Half Marathon gave the fund the push it needed.
Huge thanks go to all who have supported the Guardian Account via our events and the cabin!
There`s more.............
Trying to keep the good news flowing we confirm that we have started to firm up plans for a drive to attract more County fans into membership of the Supporters Cooperative.
Discussions with the Club have ensured that plans are currently well advanced for the introduction of an exciting package of benefits for Supporters Cooperative members.
You will by now have seen the publicity on the subject of our first `Members Only` event namely an invitation to ` Get Your Picture Taken with the Trophy`
This of course refers to County`s magnificent Vanarama National North Championship Trophy, and the opportunity that members ( and those that sign up on the night) will get to be photographed with the trophy, and possibly a County player.
Join us in the CCE2 lounge in the Cheadle End from 5pm on Sat 2nd November after the Woking game. The bar will be open for refreshments, and we hope a few County players will join us too a little later on.
Non-members, can sign up on-line at www.webcollect.org.uk/coop
or join on the night!
Also amongst the new benefits will be the following:-
# Priority access ( after season ticket holders, but before any open sale) to County away tickets, which will be a boon for our members.
# Generous discounts at County pre match Corporate Hospitality for Coop members.
# Access to a number of `Coop Members Only ` events with a facility for non- members to sign up on the night( similar to our `Get Your Picture…` opener) .
We hope that, added to all the work the Cooperative does in ensuring County supporters voice is heard at County board level, and the other significant events we organise that have such an impact on the local community ( Community Ticket Initiative, Hatters Half Marathon etc) that these new benefits excite County fans to join us.
In this respect we have established a new membership category ( 16 to 25 years) for a fantastic £3 per annum. Access this via this www.webcollect.org.uk/coop
And, if sufficient younger County fans sign up, we will look at providing a seat on the SCSC board for the 16-25 membership who give such valuable support to County on match days.
SCFC / SCSC Meeting.
The next meeting is currently scheduled for Monday 4 November, members are asked to submit any questions to info@countysupporterscoop.co.uk for noon on Wednesday 30 October
Cabin.
We continue to try to boost the Guardian Account via sales of County shirts from seasons past ( still only £10…..!), so a big thank you to all who have thus far supported us with donations of shirts and scarves. If you have not so far and would like to please bring donated items to the cabin on match days. The cabin will be staffed by Cooperative Board members between 1.30 and 2.35 Saturdays/ 6.15 to 7.20 midweek games)
Wellspring.
As usual the Supporters Cooperative will be supporting Stockport`s magnificent homeless charity `The Wellspring`.
In this regard ,on the day of the Xmas Carol Concert at EP, on Sunday 22 December ,the cabin will be open to receive donations in support of the Wellspring ( timings to be announced nearer the time) .
The Wellspring are looking for donations of food, warm clothing and cash would be immensely useful also.
Previous appeals have been well supported by County supporters, and we thank you in advance for your response this time to a brilliant cause.
If you cannot get down for the Carol Concert, donated items can be dropped off at the cabin any pre-match before then.
