Was on Twitter before 12 then quickly removed What was? The BBC article? I fished it off their website about ten minutes ago. 8.0.2 Not the BBC article - a tweet from the National League

The Railway End was altered earlier this year when the two central blocks were refurbished with new, or at least serviceable, seats. These were going to be used for the two big home games against Notts County and Wrexham. So without doing anything, we can include those in the safe maximum capacity.

And you'd imagine it's a fairly easy calculation to work out whether it's cost-effective to do the other blocks, given that they'd probably sell out whilst capacity's reduced.

Boris also announced that he wanted to scrap social distancing by November. What this is based on I have no idea, but assume that would mean we could be back at full capacity after a few games. It will be based on the same hard science that has governed their every move during this pandemic. 😐

It will also be interesting to know how they intend to ration the tickets. If we assume that the restricted capacity is around 3k, then presumably all the ST holders will be allowed in, unless of course we sell more than that. There would not be that many more available for non-ST holders so it's either first come or some sort of ballot.
Hopefully it will only be a few games if social distancing is ended by November.

That's exactly my feeling. ST holders then open sale. 1898 ST holders last season, given the takeover/reduced capacity you would like to think that ST holder figure would be nearer 2500 this season. 8.0.2

Can see masks being compulsory which isn't a problem but even at reduced capacity what happens when someone in the middle of a row of seats needs a pee?

We're still getting hundreds of new cases & over a hundred deaths a day in this country, it greatly concerns me what state we'll be in in two/three months' time. Don't know how many others are like me but that'll impact ST sales

The latest figures from the DoH show the seven day average for the UK is 74.. When you consider that at the peak in April deaths were close to 1000 a day, then it's obvious that transmission is now very low. In fact, deaths from all causes is now below the average for this time of year.
We do have a lot of ST holders who are in the vulnerable category and it may well be that this will have some effect on sales. Won't stop me but everyone will have to make their own judgement about when they feel comfortable coming back to EP.

the selling of ST for next season is going to be a nightmare for the club and fans. obviously with a reduced capacity it will mean gaps in the crowd. those who renue, will they be able to get their old seat and those first time buyers where will they be allocated. will there be temporary seats allocated till things get back to normal and you can go back to your prefered seat. just where do you start.
