Left back has been a nightmare for us this season and we appear to have solved it with two decent players for this level, different types of player too so they'll give us options. Add them to Hogan, Maynard, Ritchie Bennett, Connor Jennings plus the players we've retained. Clearly there are plenty more to come as well. I'm the opposite of underwhelmed. Overwhelmed you might say. Do you think there will be more? Jim said 20 for training on Monday and I think we are there arnt we? Which left-back would have had you excited? Ultimately we’ve taken two first-choice players away from clubs in our division when the teams wanted to keep them. Sounds like more complicated deals for a handful of attacking players are progressing well.

I definitely agree , we have got some very good signings the last 6 months. Hopefully 2 or 3 signings with more attacking intent will arrive in the next few days.

Who were you expecting? Ronaldo? Both Jennings' bring experience of winning at this level and playing in the one above, Kitchings will hopefully solve the LWB problem. Considering we've set a target of 20 players before the season starts we'll almost definitely see three or four more signings soon. 8.0.2 Yes Ronaldo clearly 🙄 That was my fault for mentioning fat Ronaldo earlier

With LB being such a disaster zone post Duxbury, a bit of competition there is a good thing anyway. Think that's a bit harsh on Tyler Garrett, I know JG wasn't his biggest fan especially as he sent him out on loan, but I thought he was solid for us. We looked a much more balanced side compared to having Cowan in there.

So apart from Connor Jennings is anyone else a bit underwhelmed or is it just me, JJ and Kitching haven't really got me on the edge of my seat Who were you expecting? Ronaldo? I think it's just you disappointed! We've made some terrific signings so far and don't forget the 3 signed just before the lockdown. Can't really understand what you're expecting? We're not after Premier league superstars

You're the one who's 'underwhelmed', not sure who you expected us to sign? 8.0.2

I'm pleased by this signing mostly because it bolsters the squad in the easily overlooked consideration of 'players with commonly misspelled/ mistaken surnames'. I had been worried that the departures of Osbourne and Mulhern had left us vulnerably light in that department, leaving us with only Ben HinchLIFFE as a genuine out and out lexicographical challenge for the uninitiated. Here again though we see the advantage of having a well connected Director of Football taking care of the detail of recruitment matters, leaving the manager to focus on day to day on-pitch affairs without the worry of where the missing 'c' in his goalkeeper's name might have gone to. On such sound foundations will our stately progress back to the promised land be laid.

Can’t believe we’ve got some that are disappointed in the signings we’re making. We’ve had a decade of cast offs from teams who haven’t wanted to keep them, we’ve had players from lower down the pyramid that are anything but experienced in the level we were at.
We’re now signing the likes of Hogan, Maynard and Connor Jennings who have already achieved our end goal at this level. We’ve signed Bennett from a team in a league above and we’ve signed two players from clubs in our division from clubs that were hoping they would stay.
The power is now in our hands. We’re not a back up plan for players and we’re not losing our best players and wondering who we’re going to bring in to fill the void. I think we have the core of a team that will be well up there at the end of the season.
