Does he want to return? It now looks like Hull almost, have been relegated. Only a miracle can save them. Festus will not be playing Championship Football next season even if he broke into their first team. Players should talk to Uncle Jim, instead of taking their Agents advice. Jim said that Festus should have stayed to improve his development. Could Hull be in free fall? You never know we could be playing them on our return to the FL next year, if Hull suffer a double relegation and we win promotion. It’s possible!!!!

Hull going down could result in Festus getting a game or two, he's gone to a bigger club and probably earning decent money, I don't think he'll have any regrets.

I don’t know about that Vicar, many players regret leaving just ask Jason and Matty. I do agree that our players would do better staying longer under Jim’s guidance and coaching.

I doubt Hull will go further down than League One. He has more chance of playing for them too now. Good luck to him, he had his head turned by his agent, just like a lot of players.
Best just to move on as sadly it seems a part of football these days 😕

Didn't Jim insinuate that in his interview with Chris Ridgeway? He clearly thinks he's dropped a bol.. sorry, clanger going there at this stage of his career.

Festus has seen his first team chance reduced at County at the same time as being offered a contract at a higher club, no surprise what happened next

When did Jason or Matty say they'd regretted leaving County ? they both knew that moving up the ladder would be a challenge & no one guaranteed them a first team place, its up to them to put the work in to establish themselves. Think the Championship would definately be a step to far for Festus, he was not going to walk straight into their first team, & he's bright enough to realise that but Division 1 might be easier to break in to, even if its only on the bench to start with. Main problem at Hull will be if/when the manager gets sacked & whether the new one thinks you're up to it, but Festus has got pre-seson to prove himself capable.

Agreed that the step up to Championship probably a too big one for him right now. Can see him holding his own at League One level, and wish him only the best. Do worry that in Hull he's gone to a club with a recent history of instability on and off the pitch.. and that can affect even the most level headed young professional.

Think he needed another season at least under JG to learn his trade, but if an offer comes along you can't blame him for taking it

Good luck to him, he had his head turned by his agent, just like a lot of players. do not think its a matter of agents turning his head. more of a matter where his agent had got him a bloody good move. non league to at least division 1 all in one go. a move most non league players dream about. if he does not get games there is also the chance of a loan deal to a division 2 club. the worst case for him would for hull to change managers and the new one not rateing him and he,s left out in the cold and hull just wanting him off their books.

Festus still has time on his side to to make a success of league football, if Hull doesn't work out, but for someone like Warburton, it was pretty much last chance saloon

I really hopes he gets a chance in league 1 & shines, the better he does, the better for us in terms of a sell on clause. I also hope that the Hull supporters have changed their attitudes over the years. I remember visiting their old ground in the early 90's & it was easily one of the most racist places i've had the misfortune of visiting, the place seemed to be stuck in an early 80's timewarp, skinheads in boots & braces outside the ground trying to peddle NF literature & i remember them giving King Kev dogs abuse every time he touched the ball.
