I found Armstrong frustrating he was so capable he hit the heights in big games, not so good on a cold Tuesday night. Perhaps he was a young kid who had too much expected of him? But I felt he blew hot & cold.

Looking back at the old games, I don’t think he was the best striker we’ve had in the 30 years I’ve been going. But I idolised him when I was a kid and was desperate to be allowed to have my hair bleached like his 😂.

I dont think we've had any cooler looking strikers since Preece and Super Al.... proper boyband stuff.
