I'm interested, insofar as I'm glad to see that Bury Phoenix haven't been placed higher than precedent dictates.

That'll be good for Bury, they should be able to gather some momentum through the lower leagues.

Some people and clubs are not happy as other clubs have been denied promotion to that level.

Some people and clubs are not happy as other clubs have been denied promotion to that level. they have got to start somewhere though. they have not set a precident as halifax, chester and hereford must have started back somewhere after they were reformed. usually there is another side down at that level who drop out of that league due to costs etc.

Some of the clubs Bury play at next season will have massive difficulties accommodating their fans. For example there's a club called Shelley which is a village south of Huddersfield. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere.
If away supporters aren't allowed (yet) there may be a "Rangers Pound" effect where some miss out.

there are others like silsden near keighley. an enclosed ground, one entrance with an overgrown bradford pa type bus shelter with a few seats in. the rest you just stand round the touchline barrier. be surprised if they could get more than 1,000 in these places. do they ban away fans if that is possible at that level, or cash in and hope there are no problems or vandalism.

It is the very bottom, as far as the National League System is concerned, though. There's nothing automatic between step 6 and 7, it all requires applications, and brand new clubs getting voted in at step 6 is nothing new. Nobody has been 'denied' anything because nobody is automatically entitled to a place

They managed with FCUM whose followings were as big, if not bigger than Bury Phoenix will take.

Didn't take much notice of them 15 years ago.
