I can see that some people aren’t convinced but I totally get why Jim has retained him. He has all the physical attributes and the skills and on his day he’s almost unplayable. I remember how he exposed all Andy Teague’s deficiency’s and completely ran him ragged in the championship season when we won 3 nil at EP.
He’s still only 23 and with full time training and additions to the coaching staff to push him along it’s well worth the gamble.

Jim got Tom going then couldn't offer him as much as cambridge and we lost him. Elliott went on to have a decent career

The most frustrating thing about Bell is he never put his physical attributes into practice. He hardly ever got anywhere near winning an aerial ball and couldn't really hold the ball up. He seems to have an eye for goal if he reacts on instinct but when he has too much time to think about it he struggles. There's obvious potential there but I'm not sure for how long; I can't see him developing into a striker that's going to carry over to league football, as that's the overall aim here.

There is absolutely a player in there. You just have to watch highlights of the Fylde FA Trophy game, two goals vs Chorley last season, back heel goal vs Ashton United, the 6-0 at Chester etc. He’s got it in him.
I can see people’s frustration as ‘his day’ isn’t often enough but if anyone can get it out more regularly, it’s JG with full time training.

Worth a gamble though, low risk but potential huge gains. This season is definitely make or break in terms of whether he steps up to being a league player, if not, he’ll still have a decent career at this level or National League North.

I think he'll be able to learn a lot about playing the No.9 role from Bennett

Rooting for him to do well. I think full time coaching & having better players around him will improve him, I still would like to another proven centre forward coming in though.

I still would like to see another proven centre forward coming in though. I agree. We have goals throughout the squad but still need someone who is a regular scorer, hopefully with electric pace. Send Nyal out on loan to gain more experience. He will come good in the end, given time

Nyal Bell has all the attributes
The hope is that eventually it all clicks
Just think if we let him go, he could easily bag 20 goals in a season under the right environment
That said, I could see him going out on loan due to our recent acquisitions..
