This is shaping up to be the best pre season for well over a decade, no use crying about it but all the excitement is tempered by not having a clue if next season will even get off the ground. If all this Covid stuff had happened during the dark days of Sale’s occupation I’d almost have welcomed it. I doubt we’ll walk the league next season, that would never happen, but we’ve given ourselves a great chance of challenging.
How do people see the season panning out? Not in terms of County performance, but just the fundamentals of getting it completed.

The authorities desperately need to get some streaming option arranged. Players need to get paid but you can't have crowds during a virus resurgence, streaming is the best way I can think of get clubs some steady income

Is streaming being seriously considered at our level though? I’d love it to be but I haven’t see anything other than chatter on here about it.

If it isn't it should be, seeing as how matchday revenue makes up the large majority of each clubs' budget Playoff games are already being streamed aren't they? So the structure is there |

I’d love it to be but I haven’t see anything other than chatter on here about it. this streaming will have to be available for all clubs at our level and not just County and other big clubs. it will not be done for the fans and clubs sakes but for profit for someone else. would it be financial viable at clubs whose gates hover around 1,000 mark with even less likely to take up a streaming offer. |

Clubs will also benefit from much larger numbers of away fans taking up streaming if it's available pay per match. We'd probably only take about 300 to Ebbsfleet say in real life - with all the money, expense, time, hassle, etc... getting there and back. However, were it available on a stream for a tenner, and no away fans allowed in the ground could easily see us with 1000 separate streams paid for. Not only fans who would have gone, but also those who would never have gone, including exiles who barely ever get back to Stockport/The UK never mind go to a County match. Sure some would share the stream with family/friends but I'm confident we'd have pretty high numbers anyway. It'd be so easier - login, pay, whatever you have to do, at 2.45-2.50pm ish, watch the game, then just switch off at 4.50-5pm ish and carry on with your day. |

still like to know the rough cost it would be for someone to stream these games. they are not going to do it for the love of fans. once we have an idea of cost it takes for streaming we can then decide if its a good deal and not another way of ripping fans off.
