If the Chinese are coming on Saturday then as part of giving a good impression then anyone who *can* might like to think about partaking of the Flynny/Toddy hospitality before the game. I guess the Chinese will probably be there, so the more fans that are there the better. I realise that it's not for everyone, and I probably can't make it there myself in time to partake ... ... but if you can, then think about doing so. Sounds like it'll be good anyway. I'd like to propose a banner with this on to welcome them. Any volunteers to knock one up?

Can't help but think we are pinning our final hopes onto the Chinese and forgetting about the Co-Op.
When was the last time anything good happened to us? Our attention should be fully focused on making the Co-Op strong. Seriously if the thing that swings it for the Chinese is how welcome they are made to feel then are they really the sort of people we want running our club?
They should know we are shit, at a low, etc.. The fact they have links to Tiger Star shows they already know how good we can be.

It's just 'options' Jack. Don't discard any - the more the merrier.

I doubt it would be the thing that swings it to be honest. If these guys are serious and are going to be looking to make money in some way then they're not going to be swayed by a few smiles and handshakes. All us as fans can do though is make people feel welcome. If this Chinese thing falls through then I see the Co Op as very much a plan B.

Why do people take potential clients out for a good time? Four weeks ago, on the eve of an announcement that a supplier I am working with had lost out in a £1m bid for business, they took the client out 'just to say thanks' anyway. Next morning, the decision was reversed. Smiles and stuff... worth a million dollars. Be positive - underestimate ANY part of the whole show that is a 'sale' at your peril.

Not saying it's not important, because it is and I know because I used to do it once up on a time , but it definitely won't be a clincher in any deal that goes through

I didn't say it was a clincher either. Get your suit on Ohanrahanrahanhanrahanhanrahanhanrahanhanrahan ... you've got some chicken and roast potatoes to chomp through.

Is this growing on you yet? No, it's crap, but I'll still go with the flow.

I agree with Jack on this one, the Co-op needs to keep pushing on irrespective. I simply can't see anybody - let alone a really wealthy individual or group - investing in the basket case which we are.

I agree about the Co-op as well. The more options we have, the better.

I would be interested to know what their intentions are too as well as their goals and aims for Stockport County.

We all know of a sporting entrepreneur who has a big pot of gold.
It's not the size of the pot that matters it is what you do with it.
