Callum Macdonald close to signing for Chesterfield according to Chesterfield fans. He left tranmere because he thought he was league 1 quality. He joined us because no one took him and we helped him recover abit. He left us to join Bristol rovers in league 1. He's played 4 games (148 minutes) since joining them on deadline day. If he is/has joined Chesterfield he will be in the national league Can't say I've got a problem with that to be honest. He did ok for us, not outstanding but ok. Saw himself as a League One player and had a crack at it, if it hasn't worked out and he drops down a level or two then so be it. I've no strong feeling about him either way, wouldn't take any particular pleasure in his ambitions not coming to fruition. yeah meant no harm

Liam Hogan in Denton Aldi this morning. BT Sport's budget mustn't have stretched to a Hotel Room for him then.

Liam Hogan in Denton Aldi this morning. It's nice to know that footballers at our level are pretty normal. Although I've spotted no footballers at yeadon aldi on Thursday nights!

If he is/has joined Chesterfield he will be in the national league Nottingham lad, so bit closer to home for him. Good pedigree but didn't really get a decent run at it with us, although he was never going to get ahead of Rydel in the pecking order.

Would have been useful cover for when Ryan was injured, but chose to move to Bristol which didn’t work out for him. Chesterfield will be a good place for him.

Didn't provide enough attacking impetus for our preferred formation, but a decent defender in my view.

Seemed to bag a few goals for Farsley - he's another of these players for me who's contribution you can't underestimate in making us where we are today. That team from 2016/17 to 2019 started to give the club back credibility (add Stopforth to that - sure a few others I recall? Clarke / Smalley??) - not good enough for where we are now, but solid players.

Oh, it’s a fountain pen! I wondered what a shock absorber emoji had to do with anything!

Yes not all the players in that era were complete dog shit but over the years they will all be forgotton i,m afraid as fans quickly forget the level we were at. Those who spent a similar shortish period with us back in better days will be more easily remembered.
