Moved the settee a week or so back and found our home programme from 23rd november 2019 v ebbsfleet underneath it. Inside was the usual stuff about them, but what took my eye was the one to watch. It was our old mate Alex Reid.

Injurys maybe forcing bell into early retirement or a big drop off in leagues

Obviously it didn't work out here but imo didn't really get a proper run only getting 12 competitive games and let's be honest unless Hinchliffe is in net there's people in our fan base that will not like the keeper and they will scapegoat them - Ross getting lots of praise in the comments and either someone mentioning that he's a proper leader and vocal

Injurys maybe forcing bell into early retirement or a big drop off in leagues A shame I thought nyall would have been the one that would have gone on to greatness. Chorley h and those semi finals v fylde he was unplayable. Ironically of you combined Frank's work rate and application with bell's finishing and skill you'd have a brilliant player. That's probably why gannon got the both of them!

He’s got potential but we needed the finished article to get out of that division. Rusk put him in the side when he was desperate. Challinor kept him in until it became clear he wasn’t good enough. It’s great that he sounds like he’s learned how to talk to the defenders in front of him and Alty are clearly delighted with him but it doesn’t mean he was ready when he was with us. It wasn’t County fans who took him out of the lineup it was Challinor. And can we end this utter nonsense that County fans won’t accept players who replace club legends. If the players who replace them are good enough or better then they will be welcomed with open arms. Alun Armstrong filled the void left by Kevin Francis. Paul Jones replaced Neil Edwards and was outstanding. More recently Southam Hales has filled the boots left behind by Sam Minihan. Dave Challinor has successful laid the Jim Gannon ghost to rest. We’re not some insular collective who don’t accept outsiders, our history is littered with new players coming in and being loved as their predecessors were. Everyone who became a club legend at this club began as an outsider - and quite a few of them had big boots to fill when they did so.

And it will have been Wilson anyway Madden was being tapped up before Jim left. Jim didn’t want him, a rare instance Jim has been proven wrong I think.

Adam Le Fondre scored for Hibs today, that's 2 in 2 games.

Cody Johnson and jid okeke are both at clubs that are throwing the seasons away according to the respective fans and have both drop down the league with both clubs fans wanting change in management.
