Interesting reading on Carlisle and jake Simpson. I know our injuries have carried on this season but it would seem his training schedule and role as head of performance has been heavily scrutinised. Ignoring parent clubs on loannees training schedules and making players do 7k runs after a game. They had 3 acl injuries after be joined.. does make you think!

I know non league but feels relevant to previous convo The 2 yellows were around the 80th minute for clarity. Not that it makes it much better!

A player who was on trial with us and played with Oli Norwood in the Blackburn friendly, forward Dwight Gayle has signed on a one-year deal for Hibernian. The 34-year-old, who had played for the likes of Crystal Palace, Newcastle Utd, West Brom, Stoke and Derby, was a free agent.

He went on to have a fine spl career, looking more recently at wright squad player for top of league 2 now a regular in spl. If our current side was in spl I think we'd finish mid table. Shame really back in 70s/80s/90s with Dundee Aberdeen and the effect of hysell it was a decent standard. Now it's bobbins.

Both for dissent around the same incident, I believe; the first for disputing a free kick and the second for making a gesture suggesting that the referee needed spectacles.

Oldham have been poor for the money they've spent. They've signed alot of crap and too many players. No idea if they have a dof but they need one or a better one with a plan Joe Royle’s son, Darren. Has done an absolutely terrible job. Lots of really poor signings on long big money deals especially during the Unsworth era who was seemingly appointed due to the Everton connection and was way out of his depth. Didn’t think Mellon was a good appointment at the time and hasn’t got enough about him to get enough out of the old overpaid squad he has been lumbered with. Wild would be the obvious choice but would he go there without some promises of some extra money to reshape the squad? Royle is CEO, I didn't realise he was acting as DOF as well. I enjoy listening to Oldham's podcast and phone in, partly because there's so much similarity with our own plight in the National League. There's still a lot of entitlement with some of their fans, if they aren't top of the league they want to change the manager every five minutes and although they're much better off with the current ownership in place, I don't think they've got the financial clout to spend their way up. They have expensive players out on loan or completely out of favour (Alex Reid is a prime example of the latter) so buying better players in is a problem. Another similarity with us under Rusk is too many draws when a more adventurous style of play might mean more wins and more losses but could yield more points in the long run. If County really are looking to loan Jack Stretton out, Oldham would be prime candidates.

Suppose its human nature again disputing a decision where nobody has ever changed their minds because of what you say in the heat of the moment in football. Might be the only thing i was never cautioned or sent off for myself but never shuck the hand of an official i,ve felt hard done by after a game either for myself or the team.

Keeper made a good saved BUT he couldn't keep this Hippolyte shot out from an indirect free kick
Wimbledon 1 Mk 0

Cotterill now scored and 4-0.
Hippolyte landing one on MK Dons for Wimbledon. Top man.
