Imwould normally agree with you Impy, however, there are exceptions that prove the rule ..., under JG first time rounds there were games when 1-0 was easy. Peterborough away being the obvious one. Bossed it all game. Never in doubt. Possibly, although there's always the one blooper element to it. Ruminatng on it though, all scorelines resulting in a win are good, for different reasons. Variety is key. Be it a 1-0 where you've scored early and defended well all game. A 1-0 where you make the breakthrough late on, like v Boston when their keeper went into Benny Hill mode. A fairly routine clean sheet win at 2-0 or 3-0. A 2-1 where you score a late winner or hold off a come back. 3-2 where you come from 2 down. A topsy turvy 4-3, 5-4, 4-2, where you manage to outside the opposition, take the lead several times, come from behind several times, and/or get that vital winning goal. Or a frivolous 5-0 or 6-0. They're all good, as variety is the spice of life. But my general preference is towards fewer or no goals for them, and lots of goals for us. Makes most games less nervy and much more enjoyable for me. I enjoy a 1-0 win more than a 5-0. The drama and tension, the horrible last gasp chance that opposition teams always have and the relief when it doesn't go in, the whistles from the crowd, the 'blow your f*cking whistle, ref' from about 88 mins onwards, the 'where's he got that from?' when the board goes up with added time, regardless of whether it's 2 mins or 10 mins. You don't get any of that at 5-0. Unless it's a freak occurence, a 5-0 is done and dusted at 50/60 mins. I don't want a pre-season, knockabout, taking the piss feel. I want to be put through it. For me, that's a much more enjoyable, emotional game than a 5-0 win.

He had v. Little to do first half on Saturday then produced an excellent save in a one on one. He not only narrowed the angle well, but showed sharp reflexes to stick out his boot. He is v. Good at one on ones. Think he is less good at shots from just outside the edge of the box. think dosser was one of the first to notice bens problem with shots on or near the edge of the box. never noticed it myself at the time but for a big lad he does have problems with a well hit low shot from distance. neil edwards used to get beaten by these but his excuse was his lack of height.

I'd still rather beat City, United, Burnley or anybody else 1-0 than 5-0, for all the reasons outlined above.

I don't particular want an emotional rollercoaster every single game. Shitting myself, wringing hands, knot in the stomach. That happens to some extent more often than not anyway. Give me a nice easy win every time. A game where we reach a point where you can just totally relax and admire the football on display, rather than thinking nervously and anxiously, "Well this all lovely football, but it's still only 1-0, it only takes a second or one mistake for them to score". Tight wins are possibly as enjoyable or more enjoyable in hindsight after the game when they've been won. But during the game, not a chance - give me 5-0 or 6-0 every time.

I see Solihull battered Wrexham 4-0 today. They are going to be very tough on Tuesday. We'll really have to be on it to get 3 points from this one. Well it's time we improved our record against Solihull - one win in 8 encounters - and what better time than tonight? Here's my thoughts about some of our previous meetings. Why it's a favourite away trip for me; why a book should never be judged by its cover; Damson Park - the plane spotters delight; and one of the most bizarre sendings off anybody who was there will ever have witnessed. Solihull Moors - Damson Park

EP in the afternoon and the same in the evening waiting for a new always late girl friend to arrive.

Solihull Moors - Damson ParkLooking at the subs bench on your Moors write up, I never, ever would have been able to name Shane Lewis. Google tells me he was an on loan Walsall keeper, but he's not one I recall. www.saddlers.co.uk/news/2014/february/keeper-goes-out-on-loan/

That linesman is the kind of person who shouldn't be anywhere near football. might be the type of lad who has a domineering mummy and needed an outlet on a saturday afternoon.

Lewis sat on the bench for 7 games. It was a season of 5 keepers - Ian Ormson; Lewis King; Ryan Jones; Christian Dibble and the aforementioned Lewis. Jones turned out in a debacle at Oxford City - one of the truly low points....

Rhys Oates is one that I wouldn't have remembered either.

Hoping to be wrong and we win but a dull 1-1 draw tonight (Rooney).
Sticking my beak in, in regards to the manners of winning, I think i'd prefer to smash teams rather than heart in mouth clinging on/late pushes for wins regardless of how much the latter feels better when they pay off! Lets say a ratio of 4:1 games of smashes:marginal wins
On the otherhand, I feel equally worse when on the receiving end of either.
