Actor Donald Sutherland, 88. RIP.
The odds no longer in his favour.

Donald Sutherland. Sad to hear he's gone. Don't Look Now is a fantastic film. As is Klute - which I'd like to watch again now that I think about it. Also liked him in Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Howard Bernstein. I know it's the city up the road, and I know he was heavily involved with City's ground, but he was a key figure in the revival of Manchester as a city.

Bloody hell, Butterfly came out when I was living in Germany, don't think I've ever heard it since then but it's one of the songs that I think about when I start reminiscing about living there!

Bloody hell, Butterfly came out when I was living in Germany, don't think I've ever heard it since then but it's one of the songs that I think about when I start reminiscing about living there! Bizarrely, I remember buying Chicane’s “Offshore” from the NAAFI at Rheindahlen. I was told it wasn’t out in the UK, which given the Germans’ love of all things electronica might even have been true. That, and the snow, are the two things I remember from my brief stay there!
