What was your view of Wilson before Jim got sacked Phil? (and this isn't, for once!!, an argumentative post, just curious to know - I don't recall much opinion either way on him before recent events) Can I just add my input to this - I know it wasn't addressed to me! Prior to the Gannon dismissal, I was wary of Wilson and not entirely comfortable with what his position was/the influence he held. I felt we didn't know enough about him, and I wasn't overly convinced by his record of having never stayed anywhere for a great length of time. I was willing to see how things panned out though and judge the guy by the measure of his words and actions. Now with the benefit of what we know, I don't like what I see. I still don't think we know enough about his role/responsibilities as we should, who he is answerable to, et al. Plus, as I've mentioned at some length, I think the disconnect between his warm words and altogether different actions mark him as someone not to be trusted. All you can do is judge him on what we know. In three years' time, he might still be here and have been a masteful appointment, but right now, all the signs point elsewhere, and I want him gone because of what has happened. I don't think calling him a w*nker publicly, as some people have, is necessary. I don't know the guy - I judge him harshly on the actions I've seen and I've got my views on that, but I think swearing at him only plays into his hands. I'd rather we refer to that homophobe higher up in this thread as a w*nker, who, frankly, can get to f*ck.

Wilson and Rusk are extremely lucky that fans are not allowed in at the moment. I hate to think how some would react.

Kindly f*ck off, Wilson. You’re no longer welcome at Edgeley Park

Kindly f*ck off, Wilson. You’re no longer welcome at Edgeley Park The trouble is,it's very hard to look at all this really objectively. Most County fans were sad or gutted that Jim went, but i think quite a few would have accepted it if it was all shown to be part of a 'bigger picture'. It's like selling your top goalscorer for the past few seasons, but if you replace him with someone so high class it can't be argued with, you accept it. That's what i thought they were doing. That they had someone so good lined up they couldn't miss the opportunity. It's not that though is it. We have gone for a gamble,a totally unproven under 23 coach from down south. He may turn out to have a good career but is taking over us in the middle of the season really the time to start his career? I've listened/read to Simon Wilson's last 2 interviews,ie sky before west ham and the one after Rusk appointed.I don't know why but they just don't ring true.He speaks very smoothly,he's inoffensive but he doesn't really say anything. I really want us to succeed and have nothing at all against the DOF or Rusk or anyone, but I just don't understand the thinking or planning behind all this. The communication from the club has been bad,If anything, when we can't attend we need even more heard from the club itself. Not going to games makes you feel detached. Where is the chief exec etc telling us all what's going on and why we should be optimistic. We may be all be overly negative on here but what do they expect if they don't communicate. We have paid thousands to the club and kept it invested by not asking for season tkt refunds. We deserve to hear more.

Mate reckons there's a banner already at the ground about Wilson and Rusk. Don't know if anybody lives near the ground to confirm?
Not that they'll see it anyway to be fair.

After this and the earlier claim of Rusk being described as 'beleaguered' without providing a link, I think you're being a bit silly.

I think stott is astute and I can't see rusk taking the biscuit. If we're mid table at Christmas he'll be under pressure especially with fans in the ground. I think we'll have a different manager by this time next year. That's the frustration the whole thing is so unnecessary for "culture"!

I'm all for holding them to account but there's no way there's a banner there.

Taking Jim out of this and pretending the manager was called AN Other, you would still have posted the same thing. Had Rusk been brought in when he had. They have thrown away the season/created a monumental challenge to go up, willingly taking one year out of 7 to get us to the championship. Yet no real explanation as to why. Had a manager with some credibility been appointed and/or the results and/or the football significantly improved, I don’t think this explanation would be required.

I'm all for holding them to account but there's no way there's a banner there. That's why I asked if somebody lived near the ground so they could have a look.
Nobody who we want to see it will end up seeing it anyway so not sure how worthwhile it would be (if true- again to clarify that for you Nik)

I hate to give you the Bungle treatment, but if you want to give your claims even a shred of credibility then you really should find that 'beleaguered' link.

You earlier on in the match thread: Already talk of "beleaguered boss Simon Rusk" in the press. Now, a link to the press you talk of, if you please.
