You earlier on in the match thread: Already talk of "beleaguered boss Simon Rusk" in the press. Now, a link to the press you talk of, if you please. Easy now! I’m sure it was a simple misreading of “National League team Stockport County boss...”

Go from there and find the report from the Maidenhead game.
Do you know what beleagured means?
Would you describe him as beleagured right now? I would.

Ah so the word beleaguered isn’t in that report she just as Nik and everybody else thought - you made it up.

Whether he is 'beleaguered' or he isn't, you specifically stated there was 'talk in the press'. Reading that article, there is no talk in the press referring to him as 'beleaguered', is there?

Whether he is 'beleaguered' or he isn't, you specifically stated there was 'talk in the press'. Reading that article, there is no talk in the press referring to him as 'beleaguered', is there? Stop scratching your head and just answer the question:
Is a manager who's team has scored 1 in 5 games and none in 3 games, beleaguered?
Go and Google what beleaguered means, Nik and then come back to me with whether or not you would or anybody would possibly, in the press, in the stands, on a forum, on the moon describe a football manager in that position as beleagured?
Listen, Nik, you can support this new regime or not. You can not want fans to question what they're doing etc. You might not want people to make banners (as, I think it was you? debated before) That's fine. I couldn't give a shit about what we should or shouldn't be doing.

Awful time for everybody with what's going on in life at the moment. Start of the season was decent to watch Jim's team for 90 minutes, even though it wasn't what we were used to with streaming etc/ no social element attached. Just watching Jim try and build on what he was doing was a brief enjoyment. And then this w*nker Simon Wilson sacks him to appoint his friend. Just get out of the club. He is so lucky fans can't attend. They'll be laughing at us on here and putting it down to people hiding behind a keyboard etc. They'd get a rude awakening. Was reading Phil Bs book only yesterday. Re-wind 30 years. The comments from some fans re Danny and Brendan etc are almost a direct lift!

Kindly f*ck off, Wilson. You’re no longer welcome at Edgeley Park The trouble is,it's very hard to look at all this really objectively. Most County fans were sad or gutted that Jim went, but i think quite a few would have accepted it if it was all shown to be part of a 'bigger picture'. It's like selling your top goalscorer for the past few seasons, but if you replace him with someone so high class it can't be argued with, you accept it. That's what i thought they were doing. That they had someone so good lined up they couldn't miss the opportunity. It's not that though is it. We have gone for a gamble,a totally unproven under 23 coach from down south. He may turn out to have a good career but is taking over us in the middle of the season really the time to start his career? I've listened/read to Simon Wilson's last 2 interviews,ie sky before west ham and the one after Rusk appointed.I don't know why but they just don't ring true.He speaks very smoothly,he's inoffensive but he doesn't really say anything. I really want us to succeed and have nothing at all against the DOF or Rusk or anyone, but I just don't understand the thinking or planning behind all this. The communication from the club has been bad,If anything, when we can't attend we need even more heard from the club itself. Not going to games makes you feel detached. Where is the chief exec etc telling us all what's going on and why we should be optimistic. We may be all be overly negative on here but what do they expect if they don't communicate. We have paid thousands to the club and kept it invested by not asking for season tkt refunds. We deserve to hear more. Great post Ed (agree with it a lot,). We have seen before in a long and not very illustrious history of poor club comms that when they don’t explain things, rumours fill in the void and rumours can very often be worse than the truth. We seem to have a massive off the field team. What are they all doing? No idea who our CEO is ... the invisible man? What does our DoF do? Minister of Culture?😱🤣😉 in lockdown, am sure the fans would be lapping up the comms as there is bugger all else to do. Instead, all we get are Rusk’s rather underwhelming interviews...

You stated, with quotations, that there was talk of Rusk being 'beleaguered' in the press. We've since learned that you seem to have made it up, as there is no mention of it. You're now trying to deflect that into a " wouldn't you describe him as beleaguered?" argument because you know you can't back up your claim, just like you can't back up your claim of a 'banner', which nobody would see anyway as it would be conveniently removed before anyone could get proof. I mean if this banner existed then someone must have seen it to know about it, and there's a fair chance that person had a camera phone in their pocket and could have evidenced their findings. You can twist it whichever way you want, but at the end of the day, that's two instances of you bullshitting in one day. As I said earlier, I'm all for holding Wilson to account and think they're f*cking idiots for sacking Gannon. I think the Rusk experiment is going to end badly and that County will be in a much, much worse position on the pitch because of it and I hope Wilson is held to account for every bad decision he has made and may make going forward, as I feel he had a good thing going and he's f*cked it. But you know what undermines real, legitimate scrutiny? Made-up bullshit.

Mate reckons there's a banner already at the ground about Wilson and Rusk. Don't know if anybody lives near the ground to confirm? Not that they'll see it anyway to be fair. In this day and age with everyone walking round with a camera, then surely there is a picture of this?

I see your Bergara parallels and raise you my McKnight ones: “For many years, I have observed and analysed the game and industry, lobbied for improvements, and now I have the chance to help a great club develop, as we look to build something special and eventually return Stockport County back to the Football League. “The club has huge potential, a strong and passionate supporter base and owners with the required vision to make the supporters’ dreams a reality.” I don’t know about you, but it all sounds a bit familiar again...

Get what you are saying about RM, however I think BE and MS have much more in common as the money men in the comparisons that I am making. RM was brought in to reduce costs, not spend millions of pounds.

Whether he’s been taking all that close an interest in what Wilson has been up to before now is anyone’s guess, but I’d hope he’s putting him under the microscope now...

Absolutely, and no doubt he will. MS seems quite adamant on being in Championship in 7 years. Be 6 now as one has passed.
