Is anyone here actually allowing for another opinion. Seems to me Simon Wilson has a specific job to do and you lot know nowt about it and are making up a load of bull about it. See how many join in with your songs, bunch of very weird people. It’s a valid point that we don’t know huge amounts of detail about his day-to-day role. But therein lies the problem. By not communicating, they allow a vacuum to be filled, and people will, rightly or wrongly, join the dots. What we do know is that he’s director of football, and that he is responsible for player contracts. So, for example, I look at the 33-man squad we now have and think: does that represent sound business? Value for money? I’ll leave that one with you. We also know that he is the boss of the First Team Manager. It is therefore a logical conclusion to make that he took the decision to dismiss Jim Gannon. Is that an unreasonable conclusion to make? I don’t think so. You’d certainly expect that to be the case. We also know of his role in the employment of the current manager. Again, people can make whatever assessment they want to at whatever stage on the merits or otherwise of that. And we know what he’s told us through his various interviews, some of which demonstrate a total lack of consistency between his words and actions. So again, it’s reasonable that people will draw their own conclusions. Now, of course, it may turn out that Wilson is a much maligned, misunderstood character in all this. Maybe he has had nothing to do with the catastrophe enveloping the club over the last two months. Maybe he really wanted to keep JG on and was overruled. Maybe his recruitment represents the best value for money ever seen at this level of football. The evidence suggests otherwise. He’s welcome to set the record straight. But then that poses another question: if he isn’t responsible for the terrible decisions we’ve seen of late, what the f*cking hell does he do to warrant his role existing? I’m not sure someone popping in and calling people very weird deserved such a comprehensive well thought out response BW but fair play to you, you’re nicer than me.

Regarding his involvement in the sacking of Jim Gannon. In that podcast thing with McShite, when McShite asks about his "man management style" Wilson immediately starts waxing lyrical about creating a culture in the people he manages. Kind of a smoking gun for me.

See how many join in with your songs, bunch of very weird people. I’m sure we’d all love to be enlightened, Tommy, so come on, tell us what you know that members of the weird people don’t. Or perhaps it would be wise to practice what your signature preaches...”Silence is one of the great arts of conversation.”

It hasn't been fun though. Childish comments, self-importance and the arrogance of thinking that your views are representative. Oh that's right, nothings changed much then.

So let me get this straight. Because they've not communicated, you're allowed to make it up, espouse it as the truth and then rally against it? Read my monicker below - 'if a lie is told often enough'. Quite simply you are all frothing at the mouth because you have no involvement, no voice at the moment and some very strange conspiracy theories based on completely different people. 0 out of 10 -must try harder.

...some very strange conspiracy theories based on completely different people... Ah! So you’re saying it was a different Simon Wilson on that webinar? How silly of me. They look and sound so similar, I’m sure we can all be forgiven for the case of mistaken identity. It’s alright everyone - everything’s under control!

Why don’t you ask him yourself since you claim to be much more clued in than we are? And keep going with the ad hominems; always a sign of a weak argument.

It’s going to feel like when Sale were still at EP. I really hope things have improved on the pitch by then but just imagine the collective release of anger in everyone’s voice chanting that. Wouldn’t surprise me if he dodges that game. you have hit the nail on the head there. it is just like when sale were with us and fans started to feel like second class citizans in their own street. it could be an idea to get behind wilson then he might go as they do not want to give fans what they want.

Sorry, I bow to your superior use of language. I did note your in depth research on the subject and also googled for 3 seconds and found it, guilty by association then, case closed. I won't be speaking to Simon Wilson or anyone else in the club as I have no connection there. I just do not believe that such an asinine attack with no evidence (other than hearsay and his job title) against an employee of the club serves any purpose other than to make a glorious group of pseudo-intellectuals on this platform feel better about themselves while shouting 'grrrr' in the general direction of the club. Feel free to batter out an angry response on your 'keyboard of power', keys are a bit worn though.

Of course all opinion is allowed and I look forward to someone putting forward some positives about Wilson's involvement, we're all County fans and want this to end well, so if we "know nowt about it" please tell us the good stuff unless you also know nowt about it.
