What I liked about Nyal is he could score a goal out of nothing, when you least expected it. Given the support from club and fans, I do believe he would have been a success for us this season.
He is young enough to get a decent contract somewhere and find success on the pitch again. Good luck to the lad, I wish him all the best and thank him for his contribution in our rise to this level.

I like him and he's played a big part in a title winning season, he should always be remembered for that.
Our postman is an Alty fan and I speak to him regularly, he says Nyal is only really getting 10 mins here and there so hasn't had any opportunity in games to really make any impact. Suspect he'll bob around the NLN level for the rest of his career, unfortunately.

Ah I remember that goal vs Fylde in the Trophy so well. Went mental. Some big goals in the NLN promotion run in too. He always had a knack for the spectacular and unpredictable. The problem was that sometimes you got the impression that the defence didn't know what he was going to do and he didn't either! If he does leave - all the best. He has the raw attributes and the talent to make it at this level, if not higher, and had a decent spell at Halifax earlier in the season. EDIT - Surprised his goal vs Chorley where he left Teague and CMW for dead isn't there. I thought that about the Teague goal. Could he be on his way to Chorley as part of a Cardwell deal? Stephenson was good on his day, wasn't he? Shame he got that injury, he might have pushed on.

I know Fylde were really keen on him after our Cup game up there a couple of seasons ago. That would be a good move for him and a fresh start for him once the new season starts later this year. There is definitely ability in him but sadly I think the determination to kick on lacks sometimes hence why he has struggled to hold down a starting spot every week at the clubs he's been to. Good luck to him though, scored some great goals and remember fondly his performance at Chester away - he was unplayable that night.

Good luck Ding Dong. You did us proud and scored some crackers. I hope you can fulfil your potential and make it to the FL.

Suspect if this isn't a goodbye, there will be one in the not too distant future.
If Bennett is above him and being loaned out too, it doesn't look like he'll play for us again.
Always thought he was a decent player but needs to improve his game in some areas. Too often seemed to miss making that key run in a dangerous area and often being caught flat footed.
Can be good on his day bit sadly can be very frustrating too. Hope he finds the right club and coach to get the best of him.
Sadly for him, as a club, we're moving too quickly

He's a Champion, and one of us. If it is his farewell, then good luck to him in the future.. scored some great goals for us and always seemed like a nice guy too.
