Have to say given he’s on a 3 year contract it bodes well that his game beyond being a fox in a box looks good enough that he could drop deeper as a number 10 and still be a very good player for us. I doubt he could do that as well in league 1, but there really isn’t that much difference in the quality in the top half of the national league and league 2. doubt we,ll be in league 1 till his contract is up anyway. do not think div.2 is as poor as some suggest. barrow have struggles all season, harrogate after a good start are lower mid table and salford with their money are outside the PO. if we did go up this season i can see us bettering harrogate and barrow but thats it. too many County fans expect to walk this division and are taken in with the championship in X amount of seasons quote.

Wasn't suggesting we would go straight up but I would be confident we would be sitting around Salford are, maybe better, when accounting for a normal season without the COVID nonsense. If we can get two very good seasons out of Paddy I'd take that as a good signing and worthwhile signing on the proviso we go up this season or he carries us next season. Which on recent performances, both him and the team, we're looking good for either.

Hoping so but ankle injuries can take up to three months to get right. Let’s hope it isn’t too serious.

Could have done with his guile today but an opportunity for others to step up.

I hope he's back for the playoffs. It would be a huge blow to our promotion hopes if he's out for the season 🤦♂️

If it is his ankle, then it is unlikely he will be back this season. A huge miss for us today as with the number of balls we put into the box, I am certain that he would have put one of them away. Just goes to show what a lethal striker will do and how much we will miss him. We should have planned for what to do, if he got injured.

Stop chatting rubbish - you have no idea what the injury is - he might be back he might not be but that’s dependent on the severity of the injury not on the body part.

Very concerned about this. Trying to get exact time lines on injuries out of County is almost non existent. With him in the team I think we shit these play offs easily. Without him, it puts us and Torquay on a very even footing and I’m a lot less confident.

Big loss if he’s out for the remaining games.

wnm.
If this is a load of rubbish so be it, but a sprained ankle is one of the most common injuries in football. As well as damage to the ligaments, the capsule which surrounds the ankle joint can also be damaged. The damage causes bleeding within the tissues, which produces a swollen ankle and ankle pain.
I just hope it is not an ankle injury and turns out to be just a knock and we have him back on Saturday.
However just having read the programme, Luke thinks it will take a few weeks so I hope he will be fit again in time for the playoffs.

The point is an ankle doesn’t automatically put you for a finite number of weeks - it depends how severe it is and even then some people heal quicker than others.
