Just seen on twitter that longstaff from Gateshead is coming to us. No idea if it’s true. Big lad i think, backup to Quigley, scope to improve and make a way in the pro game, would be a decent addition Have you got a link? All I can find is somebody saying "a league club such as Stockport might come in for him "

Just tried googling him and all you get is the twins at Newcastle.
Gateshead striker's surname is actualy Langstaff not Longstaff. Macaulay Langstaff.

Credit to DCh for giving himself time to assess what he’d taken over whilst getting the team up to speed at the same time. Not an easy task.
With the departure of Raikhy and now Fryers, it looks like the whole process of rebalancing the squad has now started. Looking forward to seeing who is the sort of player he sees as further improving us.

Sure this will be busy in the next few weeks. No rumours you can share? I don’t want to be one of those nose tapping ITK dickheads and I do usually share stuff but will keep my counsel atm. From what I’ve heard, Fryers space in the squad won’t be vacant long. Someone Challinor has worked with before. Sure someone with reasonable lower league knowledge can take it from there.

Potential new signing here! Wonder where he'll play though. I thought he really struggled playing wingback or up top under Rusk - very much a square peg in a round hole - then found form and was probably our best player playing in his natural position off the left.
That's no longer available but I expect he could do a similar job to Crankshaw behind the strikers and who knows he could be another that's transformed under DCh. No doubt our squad will be stronger when he's back fully fit.
EDIT Suppose we could also play 3-4-3 if Madden wasn't available. We tried that under Rusk though and got broken on far too easily with simple balls from the back cutting through the middle of frontline and exposing our midfield (memories of Notts away). Could be a different proposition under DCh though.
