I assume that is a joke picture? If not it could make Stockport County the laughing stock of English football if it was ever to get into the thickness of social media. Not a joke picture. Simon Wilson posted it on his Twitter account. It’s his working from home office. 🤣🤣🤣

Also, this is now the longest match thread we've ever had overtaking Eastleigh away from February (that had 902 replies). It’s a shame we didn’t lose, then the record could have been smashed, we’ve just limped over the line here.

Right you are. Rydel came on for Kitching. Which makes no sense in the face of it, but you don’t go giving dental examinations to donated equines…!!! Why does a left back/left wing back coming on for a left back/left wing back not make sense?

There was a throw in near the benches and then suddenly they shouted to RR who was warming up near the corner flag.

Barclay came off for Hogan just before half time. He appeared to have some sort of cut (maybe even a bit of mild concussion) so was taken off and didn't look to happy about it going down the tunnel. Yeah, he came back out at the end and had a gash above on of his eyes.

Why does a left back/left wing back coming on for a left back/left wing back not make sense? I wasn’t aware it was a straight swap because of an injury; I thought it was a tactical switch to try and push for the winner that might have been ham-strung by the unbalanced bench. But my point’s more that Rydel got the winner, so whatever the reason for making the change, County came out on top thanks to him!

JK is employed by the club and I'm sure contracted to say the right thing. He isn't. OK then. If not employed by the club, he's definitely got an in, that allows him to interview the manager, players and Wilson. I'm sure if he were to ask questions fans would like asked. He would lose that privilege.

Whitfield was for me the major plus point. His energy dragged others into the game more. I wouldn't be surprised to see him rested though because, after all, it's a squad game. Rusk would be mad to rest him. Weymouth are no push-overs - as shown by last season! Nor are any sides in this league. We need to build momentum and 2 wins from the next 2 is absolute must based on the opposition and that we have a full week to prepare. Ideally comfortable wins by more than the odd goal to breed confidence particularly for the frontline and beginning to address our terrible GD wouldn't hurt either. Saturday was a good start, but the issues are still there and need addressing asap. And to be honest Wrexham weren't that good. Quigley returning will be huge though I fear we're going to be 1 loss from Rusk going several times this season at this rate.

Having watched the highlights, some thoughts: - Barclay was poor - Hogan in next game please or Fisher - they created 3 chances if you include the one at the near post second half - not much at all - we created 3 chances if you include Madden’s shot from distance end of second half - neither team will win many matches creating so little - their defence of the corner for Madden’s goal was shocking - Madden was completely free - our defence for their opener was bobbins - Ross’s save from Mullins probably kept SR in his job - The players battled hard and that is why they won, unlike the capitulation at Halifax We need to improve massively if we are going to win. Creating 3 chances over 90 minutes won’t see us winning many games. The highlights certainly don’t support Parkinson’s. Ire that they should have won.

He would lose that privilege. He was Director of Communications under the previous regime. He's a really nice bloke to speak to. When I have spoken to him feel that he's not the same bloke who does the interviews and commentaries. He must get his glass half full head on when he picks up his microphone.

I said on the day that Barclay going off was the turning point in the game. Before he went off, they'd been running at us at will, and Mullin looked to be moving at twice the speed of any of our defenders. Hogan made us look massively more solid, and after that point, we improved massively at the back.
With Hogan being dropped recently, my fear is that Barclay has inherited Hogan's old membership card for Club Undroppable.
If we see Hogan/Palmer/Fryers for the next few games, I'll be much happier, although suspect the terms of Fish's loan deal means he has to get a run out at some point too.

Just watched the highlights and it looked a fairly evenly matched game. It didn't say why Barclay was subbed though, did he get injured or was he just crap? He was both to be fair, injured and crap.

Palmer and Hogan every time for me . Plus Keane . I would also play Minihan behind MSH every time . JJ a big loss and we are still trying to adjust there on the left side . Barclay possibly needs some time at Chorley on loan
I thought Wrexham second half were the worst side we’ve played which for once is quite refreshing

In my earlier days, before subs were part of the game, and there were fewer players in a squad, I don't member any players 'being rested' unless they actually had an injury. As I have already posted, a winning team should be kept playing, not shuffled like a pack of cards.
