Appreciate there’s already a 30 pager on getting rid of him, but can’t add a poll to an existing thread. So at the risk of falling foul of my usual mardarsery about duplicate threads, let’s see what the poll says.
If you were making the call, right now, are you keeping or getting shut?

I'd do two things if I were Mark Stott. I'd sack Rusk first thing in the morning and then I'd tell Wilson that his job responsibilities are changing and he has far less input into how the new manager runs things. Wilson clearly isn't going anywhere so the best we can hope for on that front is that he's told to keep his beak out of first team affairs.

Yes but Wilson has to go too or it will all be irrelevant.

Not tactically good, or brave, enough for me. Same ideas over and over even when they're clearly not working and putting square pegs in round holes to fit those plans too.
He's not a bad manager in terms of defensive shape and organisation, but he sucks all the creativity out of us to do that. Our home record under him is abysmal (if someone could give me the latest stat that would be great) as sides have realised they can just sit back and hit us on the counter and we're not going to score besides a bit of individual brilliance or a good corner.
For the same reason we struggle to chase games when we have to go on the front foot. Again, if anyone has the latest stats for points won when we have gone behind under Rusk I'd love to know that. I think someone said we had never come from behind to win under him?
Overall, not a terrible manager / clown / fraud for me - maybe his ideas would work with a team more comfortable on the ball, but they don't at our level and yet - most frustratingly - he refuses to change them. That's despite having more backing than any recent County manager and possibly any other manager in the league.
I can't guarantee that the next person will be a success and I'd love Rusk to turn it around. However, for me, the team is less than the sum of its parts currently and I can't see that changing with recent performances being repetitive and predictably poor.

Just look Tuchel and Spurs vs Chelsea now. He's a great manager.
Level at HT, Chelsea not playing terribly, though clearly not at their best with a few players underperforming and Spurs attackers causing problems dropping between the defensive lines.
He could have easily stuck with it. It's 0-0, the game could change and Spurs weren't dominating despite having more chances. However, he changes something and takes off a ''big name'' in Mount - last season's Mr Reliable, but not at it this game. Kante on - arguably a defensive change but he also changes the shape to 3-5-2.
10 mins later - 2-0 and playing much better. It could have happened anyways and may not always work, but I can never see Rusk doing that. He'd just stick with the status quo and only change it once we were behind or chasing a winner with 15 mins to go. Chances are it would finish 0-0 or 1-0 them and he'd say we were unlucky and in the game.

Rant over (really need some County fans in my household).

Yes but Wilson has to go too or it will all be irrelevant. Correct. Rusk is the tip of the iceberg. Wilson and Stott don't want a strong manager around the club so it will be another appointment with no track record of success rather than a manager who'd be demanding behind the scenes.

I hit no by mistake so it should be 2 not 3
Time’s up for me. His comments after the Yeovil game about how things worked last season and aren’t this season put me on the edge and then the failure to change them come Halifax pushed me over.
If he showed any sign of being willing to try anything else, then I’d say stick, but he isn’t. He’s pigheaded and sticking to one system and that won’t cut it in senior football. If he learns lessons from this then I’m sure he’ll have a good career but don’t think it’ll happen here. He has one plan and doesn’t seem to understand that the opposition might try and do something about it.
If the manager won’t change then we need to change the manager.

That’s a 10% satisfaction rating. Well done Coco (that’s what I’m calling Rusk from now on).

He’s clearly not going to be here more than a week or two but he hasn’t set out to fail. I used to be a nice person.. but he’s just got me that angry 😜. In his interview comments either he is clueless or he wants to appear to be clueless. Neither makes sense in taking us forward. This is where you should really give Jim some credit. When he’d run out of options and it was down to the players he called them out. Why does Rusk say he will never call out the players… even when he says they are not doing in matches what they are doing in training… even when they are going to cost him his job.. show some bo**ocks Simon. Put the club first and call out the primadonnas who are putting themselves first. Name the players that can’t bring training into a game.
