The manager needs to start taking responsibility for this. The quality of football is dreadful. No creativity or width. We were never scoring today bar the penalty. Which by the way, I'm not sure what's more worrying- if Hippolyte's just grabbed hold of the ball or he's been chosen to take it. Both shocking judgement calls. Hippolyte was never going to score, he can't kick the ball straight. Start taking responsibility for what? The fact that he’s led us from an atrocious start through mistakes, several red cards, injuries through to 12th with a game in hand? Seriously? He’ll be as pissed off as anyone, but to dig in on him following a slight down turn in form after a really strong three months is nonsense.

You realise he has to take his part of the responsibility for the atrocious start though? We have the highest budget in the division and we’re 12th. No one for one minute is saying his job should be under pressure but two games in a row he’s made some big errors. I’m hoping that today is a blessing in disguise and we had a left-sided attacking midfielder into the mix and we go away from as much hoof ball to Wootton.

I'm a massive fan of his but the fact of the matter is as soon as we went 1-0 down, we were done today. Our creativity and attacking structure is poor. That's on the manager.

Suspect we'll bounce back against Crewe on Tuesday and it will be all smiles again.
Wimbledon away was always going to be a hard game. They're much improved from when we played them earlier in the season.

Since the postponements we’ve not got back to that level but that’s football. Form comes and goes. It’s our first season in the league after 11 years. Calm down and enjoy the ride.

That is exactly my view Stranded - I'd almost go as far as to say I don't want us to go up this season (I obviously do in truth), but I'm just so happy to be back in the Football League that I can't get that excited either way about this season (in a good way). Atmosphere is an astute poster, but I didn't like him dragging a Challinor thread back up after an isolated bad performance.

When we win he's great. When we don't he's not. It's ridiculous. Just look around at teams that frequently change managers; it doesn't work.

I’d love back to back promotions, I think we’re capable of it, but it’s not remotely the end of the world if we don’t do it.

Still think we’ll be in the playoffs, and there’ll be next to no difference between the play off teams, it’s not going to be one of those years where the top team is a dozen points better than the bottom one

Most teams this year are mid table and anyone of them could get into the play offs and end up in L1. We're definitely one of them.

Yep, he did take responsibility- the errors and the red cards stopped, and we went on to take our goal average up to around 2 points per game for the remainder of last year. What pisses me off is the knee jerk reaction to a couple of bad games which follow one of the strongest runs of the season so far. I really hope you’re right and we get a long term change to LCB. I’m not sure why we’re not seeing Hussey start as much but regardless it’s clear that’s still out weak spot going into next season.

Anyway, in an evening of angst, the best thing about this thread is the first post, that’ll make everyone smile

While I think we do need strengthening at LCB I don’t think Johnson had a bad game there at all today. In fact he put in better crosses than others when we were chasing the game late on.

At the moment we don’t look ready, which is fine.
