Wait, when did he start ice hockey He grew up playing hockey in Czech Republic and took up the game for recreation when he retired from football. He originally played for Guildford Flames second team and now at Oxford City Stars. That level of hockey is pay to play and significantly below Belfast level. Not sure how he's not classed as in import (he didn't train for 2 years in GB before 18th birthday), and this seems very much like a PR move from Belfast.

Thought about going along to see if he was any good but never got round to it.

Not sure how many NFL fans there are on here haha, but huge Vikings fan myself and am flying out to see them play at home versus the Bears on the 27th. Can't wait!

Used to hate the sport until I started working at UWE Bristol (University of the West of England) last year. I work very closely with the American football team there who haven’t lost a game in 4 years - and includes several D1 athletes, including Europe’s MVP QB last season Jadrian Clark. I’m slowly but surely starting to enjoy the sport now I understand what’s happening. Need to pick an NFL team next! 😂

A few of us I believe... there was a chat just before the season started. The Vikings are on a bit of a tear just now, and Josh Dobbs has been eye-opening. I always look out for them - a lot of my colleagues are fans (the company is based in Minneapolis). I'm primarily a Colts fan, though. Enjoy the game!

The engineer in me is wondering if whoever’s responsible for the Las Vegas Grand Prix has heard of the 7Ps…

I always keep anveye out for how the Cleveland Browns are doing. watching late night telly, sometime in the 90s, must've been late 90s, bleary, sozzled, perhaps maudlin, I saw a documentary - or a segment in a sports show - maybe Transworld Sport or something - about the Browns & how they fought back from a proposed move to Baltimore. The move went ahead of course but the Browns lived on (after a hiatus) and kept their history. I thought: yeah, they're the ones. My support is pretty shallow to be honest. Can't say I really know what's happening in a game. I watch highlights and keep tabs on the scores. Thats about it. Got a mate who is a big Bengals fan - watches full games on a stream - so I always enjoy beating them. On the subject of NFL, which teams would you say have the best support?

On the subject of NFL, which teams would you say have the best support? Patriots and Cowboys must be near the top of most popular teams, with a lot of interest outside of their immediate catchment. Packers and Steelers traditionally have pretty strong support. Maybe also the 49ers. And recent success has probably pushed the Chiefs and Eagles higher. It's a shame that the Browns ransomed their future by signing Deshaun Watson (especially now that he's injured again). I'd kind of liked them before that.

Your divisional rivals the Packers are my team. After the the injury to Cousins I thought you might struggle a bit but Joshua Dobbs has obviously come through for you. Atmosphere and noise always looks insane at Minnesota. I think this is a transitional year for the packers

Used to watch bits of NFL in the 90s on C4. Didn’t really know the rules but enjoyed the highlights. Years later spent a bit of time in N America and got into it a bit more as it was everywhere. Then it somehow became a habit watching the games on sky every Sunday evening. So decided to make a trip to Tottenhams ground to watch a game and have a nosy at the new stadium (which is fantastic) The Jets v Falcons. Thought I should pick a treat from then on. So went for the Jets as I’d been to NY and not Atlanta. Been a lot more into it since then. I love how tactical it is. It’s a great sport. Really rooting for Zack Wilson to come good.

Packers are deffo in rebuild mode imo and yes only his first season as the man, but Love doesn't at this point look like the franchise QB they need. Will be interesting to see what they do come draft day.

Agreed, especially when it comes to the Cowboys. Despise them tbh haha, but can't deny they have a ton of fans. Watson was ridiculous for them to give up that much to get him for sure, but now just have to deal with the consquences.
