I don't think we have a thread for other sports, beyond the cricket, apologies if we do. Anyways, I don't even watch the NBA but I thought this was worth posting. Maybe DC can sneak onto the pitch if we need to see out the game Saturday...? Madness that the official didn't call anything - he's right next to it looking down the line! - and that the coach seems to be only getting a fine. Surely there should be lengthy ban for deliberately interfering with the game?! See also: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/basketball/60080574

I started the Boxing thread and there’s also a F1 thread but would be good to combine them into one. Been enjoying the Australian Open this week. Some real talent in the both the mens and woman’s game at the moment. Some new faces which is good to see. Amanda Anisimova particularly impressive beating Naomi Osaka and Carlos Alcaraz, 18 year old Spanish lad, built like a brick shit house, lost a 5th set tie break to Berretini. Massive future.

I'm scarred by that debacle in Abu Dhabi for F1. It seems like every sport has terrible officials. It has been good for tennis to be in the news (or the back pages) for the right reasons. Shame about Murray and Radacanu but both had decent first round wins and are having their own battles with form/fitness.

Saw an interesting interview with him where he was talking about different training regimes when you’re older and how he’s actually stronger now than he was in his prime because he simply has to be. Sounds like Radacanu had a massive blister on her hand but again, massive future.

Anyone watch the Chiefs vs Bills NFL play off game last night? Unbelievable ending. As a Chargers season ticket holder it was Deja vu as the Chiefs did exactly that to us - pulled off outrageous plays at the end to take it into overtime and then Kelce scores immediately. You have to win the coin toss or they don’t give you a chance!

Watched the Rams V Buccs and the first half of the Bills game. Wife is an Eagles fan and has made me watch a lot of NFL. Finally starting to enjoy it a bit more and those two games certainly helped.

Didn’t expect the Rams to win that. Fair play to them. They’ve put all their chips on winning it this year though with their trades and short term superstar deals. Think I prefer our prospects over the next decade.

Will be very interesting that one - I think the Niners have beaten the Rams six times in a row? And completely took over SoFi stadium just a few weeks ago.

When that final 2 mins of craziness started, I said it would be the last QB that has the ball who wins it - they both looked so good, ''hold my beer'' stuff - but I still couldn't quite believe when Mahomes managed it with 13 seconds on the clock and then overtime (that needs to be changed, Allen deserved a right of reply). Very tired today but worth it. I think that will go down as one of the great games. Hopefully a sign of longstanding rivals with similar games to follow.

Two teams I’ve got full respect for. Always entertaining and two great QBs. Also Chiefs fans are sound and one of the only fan bases that didn’t act like nobs when they came to us.

The new breed compared to Rodgers and Brady (though absolute greats) with the way that they can also run the ball and extend plays. Feels a bit like rugby a 20 odd years ago when backs went from being small and skilful to big and skilful. I don't have a team yet. Just like watching whoever is most entertaining or in form. Been to the US a couple of time before being interested in the NFL, next time I'll try to go to a game and I think they'll end up being ''my team''. I should have said it wasn't just the Bills vs Chiefs. The Buccs game was nearly as good with another Brady comeback. I enjoyed a tweet saying that he must have some deal with the devil though that was before Stafford killed it off. Then it sounds like (not got much to compare it too) a mental weekend across the board with 3 walk off field goals and away wins.

Yeah - their offence was terrible but gifted it by GB special teams. Looked bloody cold and seemed to have a lot of similarities to cup football (or soccer - ugh!) when the conditions and pitch are terrible and it just becomes a game of who can make the fewest mistakes.

The weather is definitely an advantage to teams like the Packers, Steelers and Bills in January. Fair play to the Niners for getting a win.
