Whoever designed those Italian hoodies deserves a gold medal.

Is Atos doing the digital/graphics for the games? I gather there was some concern about them not being able to fulfil big government contracts over here, and whoever’s doing the graphics for the TV coverage are doing a sh*t job! Tennis scores lagging behind play, swimmers coming out to the last race’s flags/names, and I’ve now seen race results with multiple swimmers apparently in the same lane! Poutain de merde! Don't know, but the directors need binning off. Watched the cycling time trials yesterday and the mountain biking today and at the business end of each of the events they've been more interested in arty shots of buildings (yesterday) and the crowd/woodland (today) than in showing the action. Been doing my head in. Slightly tangential, but I watching the 3rd Test highlights yesterday, and the replays of wickets were equally frustrating. Instead of showing the same angle from behind the bowler, or some other illustrative angle, it seems that a hugely zoomed-in view of the ball is the order of the day - of which, of course, the camera operator cannot fully keep track.

Bloody hell that mountain biking. Pidcock fights back from a puncture, then the lead changes about 5 times in the last couple of minutes, including the crucial final overtaking that nearly brings them both down. That was incredible from Pidcock. Absolute king.

Appreciate it's not another sport but modern football coverage really annoys me too, they always focus on a manager deep in thought or someone in the crowd looking nervous/excited and by the time they cut back to the game, the ball has been in play 5-6 seconds. Most of the time the missed action is innocuous but really frustrating when you can hear the crowd get excited, wonder what on earth is going on and the director hasn't cut back live.

Well, if it’s the preparations for a County throw-in, corner or free kick they’re filling over, you can be sure it’ll either go straight to the opposition or out for a goal kick. So don’t stress.

Murray and Evans survive 2 break points to win again !
But topped tonight by the men’s 4 x 200m relay team retaining their title. The exact same 4 swimmers maintaining their performance over 3 years is incredible testament to their talent.

Okay, we all think we're experts after watching a new event for five minutes, but it seems to me that China dive, one of them does a belly flop and enters the pool 2 minutes after the other, and the BBC commentator raves "f*ck me, that's sensational!" And the judges add "We agree - is there a mark higher than 10?"
It was happening for the male event the other day too. I mean, the Chinese divers are brilliant, and deserved winners who are light years ahead of everyone else, but am I missing something? Is reputation counting for a bit?

Gold for GB in the triathlon and women’s sculls with the Olympic equivalent of a last minute winner. Sensational 👏🏼

I feel seen: That's me every Olympics and even the winter Olympics when it comes to curling.

That's me every Olympics and even the winter Olympics when it comes to curling. Yeah it’s amazing in curling, more often than not I’d think they’d need one of them fast ones sent down. They never agreed as often as I’d liked.
