So I've not been to as many County games as I should have due to my fractured ankle last February so I will want to be go to a few game in the run-in and I really need to know the lyrics to the chant "we're on our way" as I remember hearing it at Curzon in 2018/19 and a few recent games like Weymouth at home (might try a few away games ) anyways thanks guys

I miss the 'f*ck you Chorley we're gonna win the league'
Maybe we should revive it but with reference to Wrexham

Prefer it if we replaced it with something like 'County are magic everywhere we go' which we are I am however well up for a bit of 'f*ck you Wrexham we're gonna win the league' May well get an airing if they win the trophy semi? Which i have a sneaky feeling they will, & tbh not bothered if they do as long as we secure top spot in the league. Happily swap a return to the FL for a trip to a half empty Wembley. Obviously be great to do a league & trophy double but ending our 11 year hiatus from league football is way more important.

The Eastleigh children were singing it on Saturday. They were only kids, proper teenagers, so can't criticise them too much but it was all just generic fodder from them. Faux-ultras dirge that every other club comes out with.

Faux-ultras dirge that every other club comes out with. Exactly. You,ll probebly hear the same chant at places like curzon and guiseley as well. Its like being told the same joke from every fan at a game. Funny when you first hear it but grating in the end.

Speaking of, I went to Old Trafford yesterday to watch United women v Everton women and we spotted a couple of kids in Bolton shirts; quick as a flash my 9 year old daughter started singing it loudly, although I don't think (I hope) they heard.

It may be cringey, but that's actually quite funny! Well done to your daughter for spotting the opportunity!

Just look for the song from the film Paint Your Wagon on YouTube and you’ll hear the actual We’re on our way song in full, different lyrics of course!

I tend to agree on the “get battered song” although despite Dover not lasting the distance I did find the airing of Wrexham get battered when they were 5-2 down pretty funny. I wouldn’t even say it backfired as I had that down as a Wrexham banker anyway. I don’t really want a return to the “f**k you ____” chants tbh. It was alright in that particular season with how close run things were with Chorley (after we’d closed them down over several months) but even then I found it bordering on cringeworthy. As a one off I’m fine with it but let’s not resurrect it.

Get battered is absolutely cringe.
Was enjoyable constantlty belting it out during the Bolton games as it felt novelty and a bit tongue in cheek.
Leave it there though. It can get aired everytime we play Bolton. Outside of that context though it's just pure cringe
