BIT OF BOARD ADMIN AND JOINING REQUESTS

I've no idea what's gone on 're Maximus but I did think one or two of his posts at weekend, raised some eyebrows as being out of character.

Max, if you're reading this, please take this as a very friendly arm around the shoulder and take it easy on the personal stuff.
I've known TRE personally for years - he was my best man when I married Wendy in 2012 - so I know he's a very tolerant person. I don't know Sue quite as well but I do know you must have overstepped a mark with them to get a yellow card on here.

I for one love your posts. You're Argentina blog alone has given me the drive to go there myself next year.

Honestly happy for well behaved supporters of other clubs joining, we have a few decent contributors, perhaps Hartlepool can produce someone a bit better than Tracey and ahem her Dad🤔

Just updating this with some housekeeping.

We have gone through the members list and cleared out several hundred posters. These are generally people who haven't logged in for at least the past nine months (some were going back years). Those accounts have been deleted. There's a few who haven't logged in for ages but we recognise the names or know them personally, those accounts are still active.

Next on the list are those who regularly log in but rarely post. We don't expect everyone to be posting on here all day but if you have an account please contribute. Otherwise you're just eating through the ad-free views and not giving anything back. We'll give it a few weeks but anyone who is regularly logging in and not contributing after that time will have their accounts deleted. We can see exactly when each user last logged in and when they last posted so it's not a difficult task for us.

For clarity, we're talking about people who post once every three or four months, or not at all. If you contribute even once a week, that's fine. We totally get not everyone has the time/capacity to be on here all the time.

Finally, we've removed a couple of people this week. We don't like doing it, especially with established posters, but will do if we think it's necessary. TRE and I own this board, spend a lot of time running it and spend a lot of money hosting it and providing the service, ably supported by the mods. We have total discretion over who comes on here and who stays on here and will remove people if we want to. We try and be patient and lenient but it's not a democracy. As Christine used to say on Marions, posting is a privilege, not a right.

As I've said loads of times before, this is a great little community. It's by far and away the best place to chat about County and the quality of discussion about all topics is testament to the members on here. And let's not forget that we're representing County on here too. Plenty of fans of other clubs, journalists etc come on here. Let's give a good account of ourselves.
