Make no mistake it could go horribly wrong with this squad such is the lack of experience at this level (on and off the pitch) but we are going to have some beautiful f*cking football to watch Can’t wait to get going ⚽️💙 It might sound ridiculous but I do worry what will happen when a team like Mansfield try to kick us off the park and how our younger players cope without older heads like Sarcevic and Madden around. On our day I am sure we will play some great stuff as you say. With players like Mingi, Bate, Camps, Powell and Fiorini teams like Mansfield won't get close enough to us to kick us.

I remember last year it took a fair few game before the team settled. DC was being criticised that he didn't know his best starting 11 Then it just clicked I suspect with all the new players the different dynamics of the squad it will again be a few games until we settle I for one haven't a scooby what the squad or best 11 would look like at the moment But it looks like we have pace and athleticism to burn at the moment

I'm happy with the squad now but I don't think we've finished. Don't read too much into that it's just a hunch, I'm definitely in the don't know category. We’ve got to be done. If we can’t make this collection of players into a decent L1 squad we may as well knock it on the head. I say it every year but we can’t just keep spending and spending. We’ve got one fit central striker and no natural competition for Knoyle. I’d be surprised if we don’t at least see another loanee or two.

Superb bit of news. would've loved a permanent move but never really thought that was likely so this is the next best thing. Just praying we get to see him for a full season this time. Welcome back Louie.

Excellent stuff.
It’s great to have him back on so many levels, but he also plugs such a tough gap to fill in the squad and complements our other signings so well.
Can’t have ever been this exciting to be a county fan before?

Even gone all Alun Armstrong peroxide, just for you Loses points for his daft little beard though. You'll get over it when he does the double shirt celebration

Won’t get anywhere near us. They are a good bet to go straight back down. More likely to injure themselves trying to keep up They beat us twice last year and played us off the park at their place. Last season means nothing. We racked up a lot more points than them and look how much we have upgraded. They haven’t done anywhere near as much.

Let’s hope the good news continues and we see some of the lads return from injury this evening

This is immense news. What a close season. Best ever? Fantastic summer of big signings, just after winning promotion from League 1? Why does this feel oddly familiar...

He’d played at the level above. We need someone who has good experience at this level not a green 19yo. Wrexham already have Jack Marriott, Sam Dalby, Ollie Palmer, Jake Bickerstaff and Steven Fletcher so cannot see him playing much especially as Mullin will be back soon. Not a wise move if he moves there. Wrexham will or should 100% bring in a striker. Dalby and Bickerstaff aren't good enough. Palmer on the decline and really 1 player with Fletcher who can't last a full game. Still big question marks over Marriott and Mullin (who I think is class) coming off another preseason injury. They don't want to have to rush him back again and leave it all to him.

Signed a contract extension at Villa too. Understandable; no risk of them being bartered with on any future fee.
