Squad Numbers 01 – Ben Hinchliffe 02 – Kyle Knoyle 03 – Ibou Touray 04 – Lewis Bate 05 – Sam Hughes 06 – Fraser Horsfall 07 – Jack Diamond 08 – Callum Camps 09 – Tanto Olaofe 10 – Jayden Fevrier 11 – Nick Powell 12 – Macauley Southam-Hales 14 – Will Collar 15 – Ethan Pye 16 – Callum Connolly 17 – Jay Mingi 18 – Lewis Fiorini 19 – Kyle Wootton 20 – Louie Barry 21 – Jack Stretton 22 – Michael Mellon 23 – Ryan Rydel 25 – Max Metcalfe 27 – Odin Bailey 29 – Jid Okeke 31 – Che Gardner 33 – Tayo Adaramola 34 – Corey Addai Tanto at number nine. I'm liking that, a lot. There's a star man, wearing number 9, his name is Isaac Tanitoluwaloba Aduraoluwatimileyin Olaofe and he's scoring all the time🤣

I think we may have our winner.

There’s a lot resting on Ethan Pye. He’s so good that we don’t really worry about that position but we should, when he was injured we were absolutely awful, the difference when he came back was huge Both fb/wb positions are undercooked and I can’t believe we are going to go a full season with Barry, Tanto and Wootton Feels like there’s s lot work yet to be done Agree on fb/wbs. Felt that was the weakest area of the team by depth and quality for a bit partly as we stuck with what we had keeping 2 players in both positions but 1 in each coming off big injuries. All 4 are decent and have their own strengths but none shout consistent, top end L1. Now another big injury added to by Knoyle and a medium one to player brought in to strengthen. Pye has always been goldust as a left footed CB. Could Connolly or Touray cover there in a back 3? If we want to play a front 3 with Fevrier, Diamond, Mellon and Stretton, Fiorini, Bailey and Powell as backups we've got plenty imo. Same for a 2 with Tanto, Mellon, Barry and Wootton with Stretton and Fevrier as backups. It all hinges on Mellon not being crocked though. If it's similar to Adaramola, 4-8 weeks, I can see us sticking to what we have or, at most, another versatile attacker who can also play in midfield. DC made it clear when we signed Hughes that one of the things we liked about him was his ability to play all across the back three. If Pye is injured or out of form I’d expect him at LCB. The Touray experiment is definitely over. We’d rather switch to a back four than put him there.

When he was trying to boost Touray’s confidence towards the end of last season he took some of the blame and basically admitted playing him at LCB was a mistake.

Arguing against myself, we've only got 4 orthodox CBs plus Connolly. So if we want to play a back 3, the likes of Knoyle (now longterm injured) and Touray will have to be back-ups. Adding another CB may not be a bad call but feels unlikely given that our planned business seems to be done and it's the one place with GK we're basically at full strength. RB/RWB has to be the priority. I wouldn't be surprised to see a surprise out of contract player join though. For me, our injuries mean we need a couple more across the board. Another CM would make sense unless we're committing to a 2-man centre midfield all season. Left wing back and a forward (if Mellon is out longterm) are possible additions too. There’s a lot resting on Ethan Pye. He’s so good that we don’t really worry about that position but we should, when he was injured we were absolutely awful, the difference when he came back was huge Both fb/wb positions are undercooked and I can’t believe we are going to go a full season with Barry, Tanto and Wootton Feels like there’s s lot work yet to be done We have the young lad Watson who came on late against Blackburn and earlier against Carlisle as worst case cover for Pye. He is very much a youth team player at the moment but then so was Pye. Probably needs another year or two and a loan somewhere though but then he's been in the same team as Che..

Think it will be emergency in-match only. Chally has already publicly said it didn’t work and knocked Touray’s confidence. Am glad he accepted his mistake. No manager gets it right all the time. Also kudos for recognising the negative effect it had on Touray. I have a sneaky suspicion that Touray might well be the surprise package this season. He got a lot of assists under the radar last season and with his confidence back can see that repeating again.

Again although a kid (scholarships i assume are 16/17 year old although please correct me if im wrong)
Taken from countys recent tweet
Bruno Cina (CAM/ST)
Bruno moved to Stockport this summer after representing Colchester United at youth level. He is a 6ft 3in athletic striker who is effective in both boxes.
Bruno has had a fantastic start to life in Stockport, scoring 5 goals in 5 games, and has had the opportunity to train with the first team.
