Could Norwood be coming in for a year or two on a playing contract with the aim for him to be a coach in the 3rd plus year? I was thinking just that Matt.

Has there being any new chat of Powell going or people (myself included) just speculating off the back of the Norwood signing? I wonder if Crewe's poor start may make them willing to offer a little more. I heard that we were after 2-3 players and that we might look to offload one or two. Not sure if the former is conditional on the latter, but I’d be perfectly happy to offload Powell if it meant we signed Norwood and a right back. I think he will be an excellent signing, though like most I’d ideally prefer him on a two year contract. DC did mention something about outgoings too when asked about the end of the window. Presumed it was standard chat though as you never know what will happen. Powell would make sense. Not sure we can afford to lose anyone else with the injury situation but loans for Stretton or Rydel could be possible. Stretton more likely.

I was thinking just that Matt. by the time a 3 year deal is up, the club will want to be in the Championship. By then he will retire and become a coach and in the Championship we need a set piece coach (hes supposedly very good at them) If thats the "vison" then im all for it. If its a 3 year playing contract then sceptical

Makes sense to offload anyone who we think will get little game time with us and possibly the club would have preferred a 2 year rather than a 3 year contract. Worth the extra year if he comes off better than powell has done just to secure the deal.

Could Norwood be coming in for a year or two on a playing contract with the aim for him to be a coach in the 3rd plus year? Quite a lot of comments about the size of our back room staff and yet often when a player is coming to the end of his career we seem to have people saying things like this.

Same with Ben who might have told someone who knows him about his interests when his career is over.

Bit presumptuous but for me he wouldn't start tomorrow even if he's fit and has been training with us for a while.
Camps and Bate have been excellent and why upset a winning team? Presumably Norwood would need to build match sharpness too. Bench would seem the perfect fit and we may even be able to name one without development players.

Leave the team as is I say, no one deserves to be dropped and you should have to earn your place in the starting 11.
