Gillingham sacked their manager. No denying we have had a phenomenal budget to work with, but looking at the mess there, and higher up ie Chelsea, Man Utd, it shows that chucking money at it isn’t a guarantee of success…

I said we've had the money & the budget but that doesn't necessarily mean you we would win promotion (and the title). Credit to all the staff who have made it happen.

Not a guarantee, but it's no coincidence that the top 4 clubs probably had the four of the five or six highest budgets in the league - I can see Gillingham were probably spending more than Mansfield, but Bradford are probably the only other one I could see outspending Mansfield, let alone us/Wrexham/MK.
Crawley and Barrow feel like they've massive overachieved either way.
