Does anyone know what it is? We're not a long ball team and we're not a passing team, we don't play with wingers and we don't pack the midfield or defend in numbers using Moke and Turners pace on the counter, I watch them regularly and I'm not sure what we even try to do.

I was saying the same yesterday - there isn't a style of play. There is absolutely no evidence of any system whatsoever. But hey, the manager loves the club so it doesn't matter does it?

Very true. Whatever the pre-match plan is it doesn't get carried out, or it isn't well conceived. I know our problems run much, much deeper than issues on the pitch but I don't see why we can't be a team that presses high up the pitch and has two or three players working together to close the ball down. You don't need confidence or great quality for that, just fitness and desire. I think we've seen too many managers trying to establish a passing game that the players aren't capable of and confident enough to do well. In my opinion we need a back to basics, simple approach; the teams at the top of this league aren't any good, they're just organised, work as a team and the players know their jobs.

I'd say it's a variation of long ball for the most part, just played with pacy strikers, rather than the more stereotypical big man winning things in the air.
The main tactic seems to be that the ball is hoofed towards the corners, where our pacy attacking players can outpace their slow centre backs, and either create an opportunity for themselves, or knock it back towards Jevons who'll be waiting centrally, and has the football brain to do something useful.
Given the lack of creativity in the midfield, and the fact we generally have pretty decent strikers, I can see why he's gone for this approach, but it's fatally undermined by the incompetence at the back.

I think we try to be functional and play football but Lord doesn't have the players at his disposal to dictate play too much. As a result, we set ourselves up to compete based on how the other team plays. Brackley were big, made few mistakes and didn't over stretch themselves. We played narrow to try and match them. A couple of shite mistakes (which we make half a dozen of per game) apart we matched them. They were shit, we were shitter.
It's all irrelevant really. It's shitter than shit.

I take your points but there doesn't seem to be a pattern of any kind.
